Never played any Tomb Raider game.
So someone convince me why I should in a short paragraph.
5…4…3…2…1….and start.

If you've got 3D Vision then Tomb Raider games (starting with the first ones to be made in DirectX 9) are must play. All those high bridges and death-defying leaps are seriously more intense when you can actually see the drop! First person mods + VR would be even more incredible, I suspect. If you're stuck in flatland, though…
The early games are mostly about puzzles, platforms, and action with a little story tossed in to keep it interesting. The new games are more action/adventure in open worlds with more story. Are you interested in either?

I've enjoyed the last two. They might not be to everyone's taste but the second one was an improvement over the first one so i'm looking forward to this one. I think a lot of other folks really liked them but as i said they are not to everyone's taste. They are mostly FPS with some light puzzles.

They're most definitely not "FPS" - as they're exclusively third person
I liked the last two games, though. They're a decent mix of story and action - with a bit of stealth, RPG and exploration elements.
Don't expect too much and you should be fine.
