Bioware intends to continue the storyline of Anthem post-release, but it won’t charge you any more money to experience it.
Speaking at PAX West today, the developer said that although players will be able to buy cosmetics and gear if they want to, anything related to its story must be available for everyone to access.

Yeah still not feeling it.
Sorry not my type of game BioWare.
(Just don't make the next Dragon Age game a live experience please.)
This might interest a few of you though.

It sounds to me like they are going more JRPG style with few choices at all.

Whenever I look at this, I just think about the proper RPG that could have been made with all those skills and resources.

Comment section on BW games, always makes you feel warm and fuzzy, like it's early Christmas.
I guess I'm out on this. Don't really mind different direction, but loot grinders are way too thin, for how much time investment. Especially always online.
Post D2, Borderlands TPS is only one I really enjoyed, and even that one got boring eventually.

Almost forgot to mention this PR article.
Anthem will retain the “heart and soul of a BioWare experience.
Anthem will retain the “heart and soul of a BioWare experience.
According to Warner, BioWare began early-stage production on Anthem almost immediately after the studio was done with Mass Effect 3, before the "current crop of social RPGs were announced or delivered".
"The core of our vision has remained steady and true," he says. "So for us inside who've been able to see that evolution all the way through, it's quite a different picture from the outside in…. it's always been true to itself and true to the vision we laid down when we set out to do it after Mass Effect 3."
Despite all of this, BioWare has been facing down fairly negative public perceptions since it was acquired by Electronic Arts, one that it has increasingly struggled to counter. The decision to fully embrace live services, coupled with the lacklustre critical and commercial performance of Mass Effect Andromeda, was only worsened by a series of high-profile departures from the studio over the past year.

When asked why the system was simplified for Anthem, executive producer Mark Darrah replied, "We are showing this to an audience that is not used to these kind of decisions and conversations. We wanted to keep it simpler, but we also don't want to present you with any false choices."The quality of that site has steadily declined over the last few years.
Fort Tarsis is where you'll do most of the talking, and from a first-person perspective as opposed to the third-person javelin camera in the shared world. Conversations pull the player in close and provide supplemental information about who you're talking to, whether they're tied to a political faction, and whatever back story BioWare deems important. Character models look great, and the facial animations are leagues better than Andromeda's, but I'll still miss the impression of complexity I got from more choices.
Clearly, Anthem isn't just another BioWare RPG, but I don't blame anyone for expressing concern at its differences from the studio's previous games. Change is hard, but everything we know about Anthem so far points to an impressive, entertaining cooperative shooter with a heaping of BioWare's storytelling on the side. It's hard to be mad about that.
If there was ever any doubt PCGamer is bought and paid for there's your proof.

Apparently it will have dialog wheel but with only 2 option, WTF! Why even have wheel then?

The game doesn't have tonal choices: saying the same thing in 3 different tones that result in the same follow up in conversation.
You can thank all those people who kept on complaining about "false choices" in previous game for the current design.

If it becomes decent looter shooter with some RPG elements I might give it a go. Will wait for reviews for sure.

To be fair, if every choice is meaningful like they claim, then only having two dialog options would be an improvement over 90% of RPGs.

Wheel = suckup to mushrooms.
This product simply needs to be ignored by everyone. Otherwise they'll continue to sell junk wrapped in shiny paper by arrogant PR as if it's made of gold.
-----------------------------------------
* For example install some pay2win scam called Choices on the phone, stories branch and binary dialogues are like nonexisting. Don't keep that crap installed though, winning options are all under paywalls!
I'm saying if phone scams can at least be not lazy when it comes to dialogue complexity, so should "aaa" game.

I'm surprised a certain someone hasn't shown up yet to tell you guys how unfair you're being to Bioware and how close-minded you are.

Well they couldn't say add another awesome button.
In all honesty though, at this point I'm more interested in the drama and everything surrounding the game than the game itself. If the game turns out to be decent and I don't have anything else to play when it eventually comes out, I may pick it up, but I'm not all that invested either way.

Hmm..how will it be impactful, if there's always a choice to skip it?
Kind of feels pointless then, autodialogue at least there is better "conversation flow".
