September 21st, 2018, 20:10
Like many other Piranha Bytes games, Risen 2 is a flawed gem which needs some polishing. I've collected multiple mods plus included some my own balancing tweaks for gameplay and graphics performance to make the experience as good as possible.

Thanks. I like a bit of modding, and I've never played that one.

This looks fantastic! Tell me I don't need to install reshade for this and I'm replaying the game.

Sounds good. I might have to find time for a replay.
What exactly does Parallax Occlusion Mapping do? Is there any loss of visual quality from having that disabled?

POM OFF:

My computer had a huge FPS gain when POM was set off and in the game I just don't see the visual change. Now, with that extra FPS I could then improve the vegetation, drawing distance and the lightning, so that in the end the graphics are a lot better now overall.

Thanks for the comparison. Is there a way to enable POM in the mod? If not, it's no big deal. I'm just curious.
