"From the creators of Bloodborne and Dark Souls"
No secret that this is how they're planning on selling this game. Too bad fans of those games are being bamboozled. =(

This is beautiful! The environments, the traversal, the enemies, and the atmosphere. The gameplay also looks good with vertical movement. Looking forward to this one.

How are they bamboozled?

It simply says "creators of Bloodborne and Dark Souls" and it does not say "copy of Bloodborne and Dark Souls"!

It may not be intentional, but it may confuse people about what to expect from the game.

Anyway, it should be interesting to see how it turns out. I don't have anything against them or the game, it just doesn't sound like my cup of tea. Nioh 2 has been announced and is in development and that sounds like it's more my thing, but gonna have to wait and see.

This is a usual case of poor reporting. You've said yourself that you've watch videos and read interviews. From softwares been upfront and put the information out there. It's not thier fault if sites dont do thier due diligence and misrepresent it.
There are plenty of good sites saying it's a totally different kind of game so if consumers pay any attention at all they should no this is no dark souls game.
