I just hit something called a Troll Invasion, so I suspect I'm far from even approaching the fifth chapter. Loving every single minute of the game though, these guys have won me over for life.
The only thing I got from my time with the game is that nostalgia has nothing to do with me liking properly implemented D&Dish rulesets in my cRPGs.

I am so sad over all the "the game is too difficult" threads on Steam when the main issue is the game breaking bugs that don't allow you to progress.

But to be fair, I turned off XP sharing so my 1 guy gets all XP. So now I am close to lvl 9 and just entered Stag Lord map. I cleared everything else in Act 1 including Wererats (they are easy when you got an AC 37 pet to tank while you kill them with Flame Strike and Call Lightning).
They made pets too strong, their stats scale too fast. A well picked pet is basically like another fighter tank in your party.

Has anyone gotten Chapter 5 (The Pitax tournament) to really start? I'm like hundreds of days into Chapter 5 after Armag's Tomb and absolutely NOTHING is happening.
Chapter 4 used to have a very bad bug with amiri disappearing , i had it happen to me but i still proceeded with the game, after doing armag's tomb then i had the same exact trouble, with nothing happening anymore.
The only way to solve this was reloading a save prior chapter 4 and redoing it all, then after armag's tomb i had more events and the new curse timer appearing.Redo it all and pray it works this time, fun isnt it ?
I wouldnt encourage you to do so yet as even if you enter chapter 5 this is impossible to complete too, most scripts in pitax are broken.Those are known issues too, but there's an insignificant % of players in that chapter still so they are taking their sweet time.

I have a very different question …
I have preordered KIngmakrer as a physical thing - it says "Boxed Edition" in my account … When do you think should this arrive ? How and who do I contact and ask there ?
Edit : At least I've just found an e-mail adress …

If you miss a deadline it could take months to get back on track. It's not like in the old days when every game had a large publisher to take care of the small details.

Yeah, re-downloading the entire game with each new patch is why I slapped this puppy on the back-burner. I've enjoyed the time I have put into it up to this point, if I remember right I stopped in chapter two right when some trolls started invading, and once I hear some stability has set in, I'll get back to this.
