Cyberpunk 2077 - E3 Trailer

You can preorder it on GOG:
https://www.gog.com/game/cyberpunk_2077

According to the descriptions it's an "open-world, action-adventure story".
That's what I presumed since the first gameplay last year: there does not seem to be a lot of RPG elements in this game...

I wouldn't read so much into that. I doubt the people who write the descriptions for store pages even know the difference between action-adventure and action-RPG. Whether or not it has a lot of RPG elements will probably depend on what one considers RPG elements.

I mean, it looks awesome, but please don't force me to play a middle finger giving 'oh, sh*t son' bro. I know the character will be somewhat predetermined but don't go there, Christine.

The game is described with the same phrase on Twitter:
https://twitter.com/CyberpunkGame

The Verge even calls it an "open-world shooter with heavy character customization options":
https://www.theverge.com/2019/6/9/1...ler-microsoft-xbox-e3-watch-2019-release-date

There are no details yet about gameplay and it's possibilities, but I think it's not advertised as RPG deliberately.
If I don't expect an RPG at least I won't be disappointed. ;)

It's tagged as "Role-playing" so that settles it. :p

That's because it's taken from the same written description. :)

The Verge.. now there's a site I'd trust for reliable information about a future game. ;)

There have been quite a few gameplay details revealed actually. This thread has a lot of info and links about the game -> https://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39965

Nobody talking about Keanu Reeves?

His appearance will hype the game some more. He's very popular around the interwebs.

Yea, it was hilarious when I saw the end of the trailer and they put Keanu in there. :D

I then found out via google that he is officially connected to the game. I have mixed feelings about it. How much cash did CD Project pay him to be in this game, or maybe he is a video game fan and part of the reason he did it is for that?

I just think its pretty damn funny. Hopefully they didn't pay him some kind of outrageous amount that could have been used for the game development budget.

Besides that, I was surprised to see that the main character was a man in this trailer. Then I went back and watched an earlier game play trailer because I remembered it was a female main character, and it said you can choose to be a man or woman at the start.
Ok, cool.

Because I don't like the lead male character here. I think the woman character was much cooler - at least in the earlier gameplay trailer - than the guy in this new one. I don't like the male character's voice for example, and I doubt you can change that.

Yea, about Keanu, a short addition:
https://clips.twitch.tv/BashfulHelpfulSalamanderPrimeMe

And noone is talking about abrupt cut of the ending kickarse music either (post E3 trailer on the video). Some people shouldn't be youtube editors/uploaders.

Of course, while others on this site might still notice that, it's probably just me who's jaw is still open after the hair spectacle. If that up there is not just CGI but an actual ingame sequence, then OMG. :D

They've been asked million times, is it shooter first, rpg second and CDPR's response always said the same ( rpg).
( Ofc, it's an action rpg so player skill factors a lot more)
Trailer looked great, Keanu a bit uncomfortable, but he's known a bit for this. ( Still looked more enthusiastic than you'd expect)
If they wanted to grab the spotlight, well, they definitely got it.
Not many new gameplay details, though it seems we'll have mono whips and hammers as melee options.
Tbh, I'm more interested in what they'll speak about in interviews.
Funny thing is, one of char backgrounds is Johnny Silverhand ( famous rockerboy in lore) and Keannu plays him here.

It's action first, RPG second. Noone mentioned "shooter". :D

Those still confused, check under the price on GOG, it says:
https://www.gog.com/game/cyberpunk_2077
Genre: Action - Role-playing - Sci-fi

Moffat always lies. GOG… Not really, no.

Anyway, where's Gaga?

Still no gameplay whatsoever. I hope this game will be more The Witcher 2077 than GTA 2077.

Still looks more Grand Theft Auto than "cyberpunk".

Never understood this comparison. How are the two similar, aside from taking place in actual city ( and both companies put emphasis on worldbuilding/realism)?
GTA has no char customization, stats, skills, perks, dialogue options, branching quest paths, little c&c, rpg mechanics/levelling, etc, etc...and it's entirely designed around third person perspective.
Except for driving and "city", the two games couldn't be more different.
Also a lot of people are unfamiliar with PnP game/setting and immediately think Cyberpunk=Bladerunner.
