Default Dragon Age 4 - Short Stories Show Setting

July 23rd, 2019, 14:24
PC Gamer thinks that some Dragon Age 4 short stories indicate the setting for the game.

The Masked Empire, a novel that Weekes did write, was published 7 months prior to Dragon Age: Inquisition and revolved around several characters that later featured in important Inquisition story quests. It would seem to follow, then, that Tevinter Nights is likely the groundwork for stories or characters that will show up in Dragon Age 4. So far, there's no description of the book on its page other than a brief list of Weekes' credits so we can only guess who the characters on the front may be.

The collection of short stories published by Tor Books is set to come out on March 10th, 2020, according to Amazon.
More information.

I think its pretty much set that we will be going to Tevinter for DA4. I mean, if not that where else?

I really liked DA1 and even DA2 a lot. I thought even DA3 was good despite all the MMO type fetch quest and crap but some how given the current state of Bioware, I have sadly all but written off DA4

Most key talents who worked on the franchise already left BioWare. I smell another Mass Effect: Andromeda.

God I wish it was Andromeda.
Sadly, I expect another Destiny or TOR clone.

I just can't get excited about this or anything EA puts out. As far as I'm concerned their Sims franchise is probably their best. I have found games like Elex and Technomancer draw me in more than DAI did. MEA was utter crap too. Big empty worlds with MMO filler. Can't wait for Cyberpunk, BG3, etc.

Andromeda was great - and I also really liked DA:I.

There's no reason this can't be great as well, though I'm sceptical.

Then again, I'm almost always sceptical.
