Thanks for the earlier video preview, Kordanor. It certainly looks better in action. The sprites and effects look okay and the UI is cleaner, at least.
I think the biggest visual disappointment for me is the scenery. That perspective looks jarringly bad under everything else, like they've slapped on some RPGMaker assets or something.
Still, there's enough there that I'll probably buy it at some point (though I can't find a price anywhere?).

The RPG maker is the one source so far which has this "distinct" look of being non-isometric/diagonal. Which makes everything look like the same and which I guess is why this one reminds of a cheap RPG-Maker game on the first look.

I don't think a price was mentioned yet. But on KS it was 20$ and usually his games go for that price on steam. So my guess is either 20$ or 25$ max.

I'll likely look into playing this newest offering after I complete my Bard's Tale trilogy run-through.
