January 17th, 2020, 21:14
Hoyfjell is the story of a goofy action game that became a turn-based, open-world RPG - a crowdfunding campaign has just started:
Key Features:More information.
-> Background story.
- Industrial-Fantasy. Explore abandoned military bases along with haunted castles.
- Non-Epic. You are not saving the world from the ultimate evil, but your quest is not evil either.
- Open-World. No quest markers, no level scaling. Most of the world is available for exploration right at the start.
- Hand-Crafted Experience. The world that's built with passion and love.
- Turn-Based RPG. Take your time - no need to hurry. And top-down camera allows you have a better view of the situation.
- Build Your Character. With classless role-playing system that allows flexibility and great degree of customization. Want to be a wizard-sniper? Or a rogue with telepathic abilities?
- Explore-and-Discover. Because exploration is the heart of adventure. And adventure is the heart of RPG.

So…open world, isometric, turn based, the possibility of screwing up your build, hand placed loot…all fantastic. And no level scaling??? Hell yes. I would want to try an hour or so out first since it's "pay what you want" but if it delivers I'll gladly support this developer.

I like what I've read so far, and the character sheet looks fantastic to me. Assuming the crowdfunding takes place on a platform that works for me, I'll likely kick in.
