With all the hype I'm still going to wait and see after more reviews.
December 10th, 2020, 18:17
I've wishlisted it but will wait for some Watch impressions. And probably some patches as well.
December 10th, 2020, 18:28
I fired it up briefly last night and noticed GeForce Experience "optimized" it to play at a resolution my monitor didn't support, so my trust in that is gone. I've got the specs to do ray tracing at 1440p, but I'm going to let another patch or two fall before I play it.
December 10th, 2020, 18:56
I'll stick to my unspoken CDPR policy: will wait for the GOTY / Director's Cut / Enhanced edition.
After casually reading some reviews and user comments, I think I made a wise move.

They can call it a success already: https://nordic.ign.com/news/42141/cy…-before-launch
PS. Runs great on Stadia. No bugs to be seen in the beginning.

Look forward to playing this… in about a year or two after it's well-patched and there's some DLC - and probably when I get my next gaming rig and move on from my current 1060. From reading Steam forums, sounds like optimization is pretty poor at this point.

I've already played 6 hours, not a single bug to be seen. I've played with the newest nVidia drivers and, not being a youtuber or reviewer, I've only played a patched version 1.0.3 of the game.
I have a good PC and I think that lots of the bugs mentioned everywhere, are due to performance not being up to par, causing glitches (animations that don't load in time and glitch, etc).
I've played with everything on ultra, including Ray Tracing. DLSS must be on, to get an average of 50-65FPS @3840x1600 (slightly less resolution than 4K, but being ultrawide, you see more area of the game, that means more polygons, shadows, NPCs, etc to process). Without DLSS, the frame rate will dip all the time under 30fps. Not really playable.
I'm not gonna deny I was a little bit dispointed for being forced to use DLSS already, having bought a RTX 3080 over a month ago. But the truth is, with DLSS on balanced, I can't really notice any diference compared to native.
About the gameplay itself, I'm really enjoying it. A massive DeusEx with driving and better narrative/characters.

The game is well optimized. I'm running on Ultra settings with a mid-range rig by today's standards. You could probably run it on High settings with a 1060.

And I'm not in a big rush to play it as I just bought a Oculus Quest 2, so that'll be fun for some time.

It is running very well for me at 2560/1440, on ultra, with 2080ti. Good looking game overall.

Update your graphics drivers before starting up, I first started with everything on Ultra but no ray-tracing, and the trees was rendered in front of everything else latest drivers solved that.
Started out as a nomad, very interesting so far, no bugs yet, but they'll be there I guess.
OO, and the game looks great!
