EDIT: I'm asking because some people on the forums are saying that it is releasing on that day.

It seems clear to me that it is not coming on the 17th. Maybe fairly close to that, though.

It's not as if they had been spamming us with announcement, anyhow.

Personally, I prefer a company that communicate more than less. (Yay Solasta!)

Announcements or not, I'm feeling more hyped for BG III than I was for Cyberpunk 2077. To a degree that I'm even considering getting BG III now, something that I haven't done with CP 2077 even after its launch.

I think it's a pretty legit announcement + heads up for people who don't wanna lose their saved games, but I imagine the joke runs deep and some people around here are a little jaded.

That said, the only announcement that interests me is that of the final release date. Can't go wrong with that one.
