Vigilance 2099 - Gameplay Teaser Video

DSOGaming reports on a Prey like game in development called Vigilance 2099.

In 2019, we informed you about a new indie game that is heavily inspired by Blade Runner and the cancelled PREY 2 game, Vigilance 2099. And today, we are happy to report that NasNakarus has released a brand new gameplay video for it.

Vigilance 2099 will be using Unreal Engine 4 and will have both bounty hunting and parkour elements. The game also promises to have both third-person and first-person camera viewpoints.

This latest prototype video shows a flying vehicle and a chasing sequence. It also shows some of the game's combat mechanics, as well as a hacking ability.

Not much info in the article, but this looks neat. Plus it's got 22 more years than Cyberpunk 2077.

Looks pretty good & impressive. However, I can't help feeling that it looks a bit "too good", "too impressive" for an indie game.

Which leads to the worry that it's either extremly short or just a slick surface with great visuals and mechanics but otherwise repetitive gameplay with little to no variety.

Hopefully, I'm worrying over nothing. Will keep a lookout for more info about it.

Graphics look great but I also have concerns about the gameplay. The arm animation when the character jumps from the ledge are rather humourous though.

PREY 2 the Original True Forever Real Sequel, that was never made, a game without the ridiculously lame flying black-goo of whatever that PoS was in that horrible trainwreck of ""prey 2"" that was made.

This excellent little visual piece is what you call - in game industry terms - a pitch. Designed to attract publishers, investors and very cute female assistants.

Love it how the protagonist is running through the city, but talks normally like he's relaxing in a chair.
