I really enjoy this game and its development.
I think it has a good balance between casual and hardcore ARPG.

Still online only so I'll pass. Same reason why I wont touch another Blizzard ARPG.

Some updates ago you could play offline. No account was needed, only steam.
Current characters will be offline only once multiplayer launches, so new characters have to be made for online play.
Next blizzard game i will maybe touch is Diablo 4.

Looking forward to Last Epcoch full release, and Path of Exile 2.
And in the long term, whatever Crate Entertainment may be cooking.
Very low interest in D4 or D2R.
Anyways, on the patch: Mhm. Cool, but I want my Warlock class!

Speaking of Crate Entertainment their next-game isn't an ARPG.
It's called Farthest Frontier.

Protect and guide your people as you forge a town from untamed wilderness at the edge of the known world. Harvest raw materials, hunt, fish and farm to survive. Produce crafted items to trade, consume, equip and fight with as you battle for your survival against the elements and outside threats.

Yup, they work on that for a while.
But they do seem to interested to do a GD sequel after that. Not in development yet (at least that was the case last year).
See: https://segmentnext.com/grim-dawn-2-plans/
From those statements, I'd guess we won't see a sequel within the next five years. Still, there's hope.
