Is there any game those last 15 years which didn't have a bunch of patches after release?
September 10th, 2021, 20:30
Maybe some people prefer it when the developer just leaves it for fans to fix. Personally, I don't care how many patches there are as long as the dev continues to support the game after release.
September 10th, 2021, 20:59
There's plenty of games from long ago that would have received dozens of patches if the developers had a means of delivering them. Daggerfall, just to name one famous example, needed as much patching as any game ever made. But back then, games weren't online. Games do of course get rushed. But they did in the physical media age too. Game developers didn't suddenly become less competent. Digital delivery has created a new reality for being able to easily disseminate updates.

I like Ember, but what hexes would you recommend ?
Spoiler
I'm not sure, but maybe Ember, as a witch, will be given the same opportunity when getting the first mythic rank. And probably every odd rank, since the companions remain without specialization.

See there's patches and then there's patches. We have games getting daily patches, weekly, monthly, and my preferred way meaty patches released once or twice a year.
Anyway moving on since my opinions are always unpopular.

TBH, I just see release day as the opening of the public beta. It's like the way big corporates used to never touch a Windows release until SP1. Now we just have to guess roughly where SP1 is.

No plothole.
Over the main story certain cutscene moments you'll see from a different angle where you'll learn… hmmm… you were not alone at any step.
And please stop lollygagging on the forum, press forward the game, I can't wait you pick Azata path and share some actual impressions instead of analyzing the story before it's over.

Those forgotten secret puzzles are a pain the ass.
And there are five of them but the first one was easy.

I find them a bit of fun, kinda extreme sudoku or domino only with exotic symbols that can go two directions.
If you find puzzles in the game horrible (I solved only three, don't have stuff for two more) wait till you see a druidic puzzle where alive tree lets you to solve it (treant?).
Christ, I thought I'm wasting my life on such a mundanity, it's so tedious and annoying. And it's about colors and bridges where you need to pinpoint only one sequence among billions of possibilities, you'll see.
Hint on it: make sure your leader can use haste spell or has haste boots.
General hint on puzzles in this game:
If solving those is not fun to you, google for solution then "copy/paste".
Avoid stupid timewasting YT videos, you'd solve each yourself faster than those stalling monetized vids do.
Go for text or pics.

And you don't hate it more than domino puzzles?
It obviously isn't grinding, but I had an impression I'm grinding like crazy.
Thought I'd end up in a nuthouse.
Even worse, the reward was a serious letdown. Ah well, I guess at least you find rare elven letters.
Hint: I have no idea why is giving those letters grayed inside dialogues with Storyteller - when you find a few, definetly visit him. Two or sometimes three makes him share another story with you.
Same goes for relics. You never know if there is one in your inventory he can restore because his dialogue is not "refreshed", just pick again the "already used" line if there is something in your posession he can "get an insight" on, something like that.

Based on the above I think its pretty clear why she did what she did then.
Unrelated this is why I so LOVE this game to pieces and its risen to the top of my all time favorites, certainly now in the top 5. So many intense plot lines, wonderful and well written dialogue, a fantastic story, and just so many intense moments. I just can't get enough of it! All set in the wonderful Pathfinder/AD&D world where you have the freedom to make your character the way you wish with so many cool options.

I have saved solutions to some puzzles to help others but I like solving them myself - once you understand the logic of puzzles its actually not bad at all

Didn't watch the video nor checked the link.
I must admit that I went through them quicker this time, I had notes for the statues. Nenio's questions were luckily covered by skill checks … I'm a rogue! Last time I was a cleric with plenty of religious skills, and I failed most of the checks, so I had to look up the answers I didn't know
This sequence is so funny. "boy"… (that's what she calls me)Originally Posted by purpleblob1Yes, I meant they wouldn't select a mythic path. Even if they did, I'm sure Ember could still choose this ability anyway, it's witch-specific.

Your list was more or less what I had in mind, at least Slumber (since you advised me this one before), Evil Eye and Ameliorating, they seem very good!
