Encased - Hotfix 2
September 17th, 2021, 20:09
Games and patches are on a release spree, as Encased receives its second hotfix!
ENCASED - Hotfix 2More information.
Game version 1.0.916.1145
The recent Encased hotfix released a week ago fixed the most annoying and noticeable bugs that interfered with the comfortable playthrough, and also introduced a number of cosmetic fixes, mostly voice acting and localization. Nevertheless, we received a fairly large number of reports from our players regarding not bugs but the interface, game mechanics and unexpected game behavior. Many of these bugs took a long time to fix, so we included fixes for them in Hotfix 2.
Overall, the latest update turned out to be much more voluminous than the previous one, and we hope that traveling around the world of the Dome will become even more convenient.

I saw the patch on GOG soon after their post. I think they've improved.

Yay! EDIT: Although now I feel a little bad for the narrator.

That's even better, there are 3 options for the voice narrator: none, only in vignette, everywhere.

Think about the level of details and response this developer is providing based on feedback. Really quite a refreshing change than the larger publishers. Hopefully the game sold well enough that they will keep up this level of patching for the next couple of years.

Yes, I was about to say I hope it won't be required to patch it for so long!
But I suppose he meant improvements and additional features like those we see on other games. I haven't spotted any discussion on DLC, that's something they wanted to discuss once there were tangible results.

There's apparently an annoying known issue with Hermit. And a temporary work-around:
Ok, unfortunately we don't have any prepared solution for fixing this that rapidly, but I finally came up with temp working solution for people who got broken Hermit ability:
1. Add --console key into your game shortcut or steam launch options;
2. Load into your save file;
3. Open console via backquote
4. Perform command
The.EventManager.CompanionPartyStatusChanged.Raise (Data.Entities.Characters.Companions.Kotya, false)
and press enter
