It's humongous. Last time I played it, all content was released and finished, I spent about 200h in the main campaign, Hearts of Stone and a little bit of Wine and Blood, and really felt like I just had enough, so I never finished Blood and Wine. I guess there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. I remember I spent one full month playing almost every day, averaging between 5 and 10h a day. It was really too much. I even started constantly dreaming about it. That month was like a mental haze. I never experienced something like that.

My plan was to give it another attempt when the next gen update drops. But I have a fear I'll put another 200h into it, and drop it again.

No reason to bother with 1-4 otherwise I'd suggest playing at least one of them.
In such case I'd say Sims4 is lousy, Sims3 is still the best (with certain two expansions to be precise).

This afternoon I'm going to start playing a new game, entitled Forever Home. It looks to be an rpg-maker type game, so I'm certain to enjoy it! I'll have more to report after I've clocked an hour or three.

I completed my first successful play through of TW 3 a few weeks ago and then immediately made a new game + play through and completed it. All in all I am at 420 hours now.

You start off running the shop by ordering goods from other places (you can put in order from your counter at night or from travelling merchants during day time) but later you can unlock crafting and farming to be somewhat self sufficient. I'm specialising on cooking and tailoring but have to say, cooking has advantage because I get to grow crops myself too. I have to wait for other merchants to drop their price on raw goods to make clorhing so its a bit of a pain.

There are also events that impact your income throughout the year like recession, fair, cold weather etc.

I haven't played Sims either, but my kids have. A lot. As @joxer says, the Sims3 seems to be very popular, and it has many extensions.

I've spent some time on games like SimCity and Theme Hospital, so more "business"-oriented too. But they were more macroscopic, there's no characters you can control and mess with. The Sims games seem more character-oriented with daily tasks micro-management. Yours seems to be right between the two genres.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is looking like it'll be my longest ever RPG playthrough. I've played Skyrim for 700 or so hours, but no single playthrough was longer than ~90 hours. Same with Morrowind. Pillars of Eternity playthroughs were ~70-80 hours. D:OS 2 was over 100 and may have gone to 120+, but I stopped playing it.

My WotR playthrough is at 133 hours and I'm early on in Act 4 and still enthusiastic. So I guess it's already set my personal record. I saw a lot of people talking about playing Kingmaker for 200 hours and based on my own experience thought that was crazy… but it might end up spending a similar amount of time on WotR.

I'm really enjoying my playthrough but with all the bugs going around like a virus, I'm slowing it down. Just started Chapter 3.

Once I'm done with an RPG, I'm done until I replay it a couple years later at the earliest.

For me, playing past a certain amount of time seems to dilute the experience.

Are they bugs you're experiencing or bugs you're reading about? Because if it's the latter, I highly recommend that you ignore that and keep playing. One gets a skewed view of games that way. You get to read about every bug that hundreds of people have, and you hear nothing from the thousands who are playing with minor issues or none at all.

Besides my second play through of WOTR I have started a new play through of Kingmaker. I still play Skyrim here and there and started a new FO4 play through yesterday. I also visit my vampire in the SIMS 4 world once a week for a little down time as I find SIMS to be ultra relaxing. Those are on the slow burner since I know them all well.

So working my way through Encased at the moment as my main game and really enjoying it. Playing mostly unarmed melee with some skill in melee weapons. A Black Wing neaderthal mostly.

Forever Home is pretty good, so far. Even for an rpg-maker style game I'd call it a solid throw-back to nintendo games of the eighties/nineties, and I mean that as a huge compliment. There are devices to be leveled, similar to the materias in Final Fantasy seven (and other games), so I worked on getting two of those leveled a bit before forming my party and hitting the road. So far it's been pretty fun!

Sims 3, with Ambitions and World Adventures installed, is de facto a sandbox RPG.
It's not deep of course, but is so fun I've spent hundreds of hours with it.

The rest of expansions are pretty much rubbish and some are bugged more than skyrim.
Only if you want some fantasy stuff in the game, grab Supernatural expansion, but that's it!

The most important thing: you need to create two sims. Two characters.
Unlike other sims games, the third installment is not heavy on the family matters, generations and offsprings. Sure it has all that stuff, but it's boring.

You will do all sorts of stuff and one character will lack of "skills" that's why you need a second one to specialize in what the other can't.
And so we get a partybased sandbox rpg.

Also, at a certain point you will learn so called sim-fu to fight trashmobs (don't worry, it's not darksouls rubbish, but looney tunes crazyness). Luckily you have two characters so they can spar. And solve puzzles where each one needs to step on a different plate.

Will you roleplay neighbors, friends, lovers, or whatever, your choice.
Do give it a shot.
I refused to touch that game for a long time, and when I finally cracked I couldn't believe how fun it is.

Sims 4 however? Skip.

I spent most of the weekend playing demos from the Steam Next Fest. Some quick impressions…

Urban Strife - Squad-based tactics games in a post-apocalyptic setting. Excellent demo. I think this game is going to be really good. Wishlisted.

Skullstone - A Grimrock style dungeon crawler. One of the best real-time blobbers I've played since LoG 2. Nice old-school RPG feel and atmosphere. Wishlisted.

The Bookwalker - An adventure game where you have the ability to enter books and explore their worlds. You're contracted by an employer to enter different books and obtain certain items that clients are paying for. The demo features one of the books and part of another. I found it pretty interesting. Wishlisted.

Starship Troopers - Terran Command - An RTS game in the Starship Troopers universe where you command various squads of the Mobile Infantry and carry out missions against the bugs. The demo has 3 levels. It seems competent enough, but I'm not much into the genre anymore. RTS fans will probably dig it if they like the IP.

Dread Delusion - An open world RPG with retro graphics. I think it's supposed to be an homage to games like Morrowind and King's Field. Bizarre setting. Nice music. The demo is a little rough, and it didn't really grab me.

My little shop has reached its full potential I think - there's no more room to fit anything else without making it look cluttered. I'm very happy with it

Are you finding the different run different enough to be fun? I e. Is the variety keeping the fun for you or are you just a massive fan of the gameplay?

In other words, if there were no alternate paths, would you replay it again so soon?

Also, are the bugs an issue for you?

I didn't encounter any game breaking ones yet, other than some rare crashes. I did have many issues with turn based combat I'm hoping they'll fix.

Its both really - I definitely think there are enough variety for each mythic to keep me engaged, and I like the gameplay regardless of mythic as well.

I haven't encountered anything serious so far - the most annoying bug in my second run is, sometimes the voice files don't play during the key moments (mainly when you gain mythic level), so I have to exit then restart the game to fix that.

LOTRO. Currently in the castle of Seregost, which like the rest of Mordor is a nice place to be.

pibbuR who - not good for RPG credibility - likes several MMO's, but LOTRO is the only one he's playing regularly.

PS. What I like about LOTRO? The setting. And all the really dreary places: Angmar, parts of Moria, Mirkwood and above all: Mordor. What I'm not so happy about: the monetization, but I'm very good at not paying attention to things like that. (And also, if the game is to survive, and new content being made, they need some kind of money). DS.
