(Updated) WolfEye Studios announced that Weird West would be released on January 11th, on Steam.
Weird West Rides Toward a January 11th LaunchMore information.
Hi everyone!
WolfEye and our slack-jawed deputy Devolver Digital have decided to announce that our upcoming action RPG experience set within a surreal vision of the developing frontier, Weird West, is launching on January 11th.
With that announcement out of the way, we are ready to open pre-orders now! As a bonus to all of you who decide to support us early on, we will furnish you with a horse named Calamity.
Calamity is a dependable mule that provides leg up at the beginning of their adventures by doubling your inventory size, allowing you to escape locations even if enemies are chasing you, and faster travel to avoid missing out on timed objectives. Calamity's saddlebags will also be stocked up with essential items, including lockpicks, bandages, tools and a Golden Ace of Spades upgrade token.
Coinciding with this news, we have released the first part of a brand new video series which sees WolfEye Studios creative director Raf Colantonio walk through an overview of the game in the first of a series of deeper dive videos. Check it out below.

They fixed the release date on Steam after I notified them
It's available on GOG too.
EDIT: updated the newsbit above with the full release post they just made (instead of the laconic little tweet).

I'm a sucker for western genre, yet I'll be holding off to see what others might think of this before I dive in. I figure by next summer I'll have a better idea, and the usual patches/updates necessary should have mostly landed by then.

But when I saw the commented gameplay recently, I got more interested. I'll probably take it shortly after release.

Looks intriguing. I guess the 'weird' means your character is weird as well? It looked like she has some powers.

I'd be all over this were it not for the isometric view. Also not a fan of the cel-shaded graphics.
I love the concept though.

I like the look and sound of Weird West - not many games have this reactivity and simulation aspects. I also like the real-time action. For some strange reason I also like the aesthetics but do appreciate others' dislike and maybe they can provide a switch to remove this.

Looks rather interesting. I have not been following this, will keep an eye

I hope shooting isn't too strange to handle. That's one feature they had to take care of, as they explained in a previous video, because the isometric view makes it difficult to point in a direction and with an height angle at the same time.

This looks good. Almost a computer version of shadows of brimstone.
