I had a thorough blast myself when I replayed this game in the newest iteration, about six months ago. No bugs, no fuss, no muss, just pure fun!

Thank you. Yeah, if you can say one thing about Vogels games is that they are released on time and (almost) bug free.

Well, mostly because it's the same game with a facelift….

Thank you for your good and balanced review. It's quite rare with Spiderweb games.

One of the few existing companies that, when they do release a game, be it a blast from the past or a new property, you'll likely be able to play it on the very first day of launch with no issues. At least I don't recall having an issue with any of their games to date on the day of release.

And yet that still doesn't seem to help an awful lot of other developers….

Somehow I bounced right off this one, although the lore is quite nice. Maybe I cranked difficulty up too much for a first go.

I will definitely try it again at some point, but my re-play of Avernum: Escape from the Pit soon after was much more enjoyable.

Give it another go, Darkheart, I think you might enjoy a second visit.
