I'm miffed they added that hated DRM at launch and didn't mention it before. Lesson here is don't pre-order games nowadays as you never know what will happen.

Evidently, people largely slept through the night in DL1 (as I did myself), so they wanted to incentivize not doing that. Maybe that also included making night time less dangerous, I don't know. It's certainly no less annoying. I don't like time limits, and night time is one big time limit.
I started DL only going out in the day, but progress was painfully slow because I'd die and lose my XP. I switched to night and making short high danger runs. I still died but because the runs were shorter I wasn't wasting too much time/effort and could make it up faster.

This game sucks. I got good enough at parkour and such that it was no longer painful simply to play it, but now I'm just bored. I can't keep myself from just going through the motions. None of the quests are motivating. I wasn't expecting anything amazing from this game, but I have ~35 hours on Dying Light 1 and liked it well enough. I wish I could return it. For the first time in a while, I miss buying physical discs on console that I could trade in toward other ones.

The initial asking price for the DL2 is prohibitive for me, even in my own currency. But since a lot of people are complaining about bugs and other issues, I hope its price gets discounted faster than usual, so I might not have to wait too long to finally buy.

Yes, bugs or not, I didn't give up on buying DL2. Not yet, at least.

Well, my experience has been largely positive, and given the 81% positives on Steam, I think the same could be said for the majority on PC.
However (and this is a big however) a lot of the problems for the minority that are having them are BIG problems. So, you're probably going to fine… but buyer beware?

Are they patching in some decent voice acting and better writing?
