I enjoyed it, though I think the quality varied a bit. I especially liked the paintball war and D&D episodes.
If you're watching it on Netflix, make sure you download (aaaarrrr) the "banned" D&D episode. Apparently an Asian man in blackface as a Drow was deemed too risky (even though the whole point was to have a discussion about whether it is racist or not). I'm a big ol' lefty, and even I think that's ridiculous.

Finished Vera, season ten, pity season eleven is not yet available in my country. Looking forward to that one and of course number 12.

So we started with the Expanse season 6. Finished that one now as well. I really hope there will be a season 7, I'd like to see Drummer again, my favorite character of the entire series. After season 5 overly emotional Naomi is definitely my least favourite.

Also started The Gilded Age, the American version of Dowton Abbey and like Dowton Abbey also created by Julian Fellowes. I am at episode 2 and I must say love for the story and the actors do not come automatically where I'm concerned. It is not bad, but not on par with Dowton Abbey. But yeah, it is too early to say.

Woooow. Thanks for the heads-up. I'm watching on Hulu and sure enough, that episode isn't on there. Absolutely tone deaf censorship.

I wonder how bad Disney will screw this up. I find it hard to believe it could be worse than The Book of Boba Fett.

Eye, if you've not read the Expanse novels, I highly recommend them. I totally agree with you on Naomi-the-telly-version and can say that she's hardly that way in all in the books, and getting a path into her thoughts there really enhances the story. Drummer is pretty different in the books and that alone should be incentive to check them out! I also tried the Gilded Age, and although I really enjoy some of the actors in the series, I found it pedestrian and bailed after the third episode.

I've been watching Vox Machina on and off since it started, I guess about a month now. I've watched all but the finale, which I'll likely get around to this weekend. All in all, while some of the humour and comments haven't been for me, it's not a bad show. I only wish it hadn't been animated, though the budget for a live action version likely would have been extreme.

Just 2 episodes away from finishing TWD season 8.
It’s been slow in parts, but also pretty decent and entertaining in others. And once in a while I see a glimmer of something smart, but I do wonder if it is intended or just an accident.

Surprisingly, one my favorite characters has turned out to be Dwight, the dude with the burnt face from the Saviors. I like his arc. Negan has also managed to slowly become a favorite, very charismatic even with his psychopathy. And he’s just returned to Sanctuary.

FTWD S6. Speaking of Dwight, he has some good stuff in this season. They took some narrative chances this season with him and Morgan, and in particular the "dream" episode. What would you do for love? As has come to be usual there are suspend your brain moments, but over all worthwhile. Something that just occurred to me is how diverse the cast of TWD and FTWD are without ever making it an issue. Blacks, Asians, Gays, Disabled people and no stupid Wokeness - what a relief!

Started watching Season 3 of Ozark. I'm only on the 4th episode, and it's already a twisted mess of schemes and betrayals. I hope it ends up being as good as the first two seasons.

I had no idea that characters from the main series are also in the spinoff. Might just give it a chance after Iโ€™m done with this.

FTWD didn't start off that way S1-3 have a different feel altogether. S4 on they changed showrunners and almost everything in the show to bring things much closer to TWD.

I finished viewing Vox Machina last night, pretty solid finale with a fine setup for another series, should it continue. It did a pretty good job of detailing how a lowly band of misfits might strive to be better, and in the end pull it off somehow. In some ways it might have happened a tad too quickly, though that could be nit-picking on my part.

I've only seen the first four seasons, but I enjoyed them more than the later seasons of TWD.

I don't know about the later seasons of TWD anymore. Either I have lower expectations than most of people I hear complaining about the later seasons, or you guys really managed to lower them for me, because I'm actually enjoying the later seasons.

They're different to the previous ones, but I overall like the direction the plot is going in. There are still plenty of moments that drag, or get bogged down into petty squabbles. Or some are kinda cringe, but some are also pretty good.

So overall, I'd say the later seasons are a mostly positive mixed bag for me. I apparently am still enjoying them.

Spoiler

Anyway, some things are really becoming a blur for me, since I've pretty much been binging TWD for a couple of months now.

In other tv series news, apparently they're gonna make another Blade Runner series, this time live action. I'm not expecting much. And it having Ridley Scott as a producer also doesn't give me much hope.

Plus, it's Amazon Studios … I'm not sure if that's better or worse than it being Netflix. If it were HBO I might have more hope.

I finished the American Crime Story: Impeachment last night. All in all it wasn't too bad, a few episodes could have done with more editing, though it was nice to return to that part of the country and time period for a visit. Even having lived and worked in the area at the time all this was happening, it's still difficult to believe it all really took place.

And I started with the fourth series of Mrs. Maisel! I simply couldn't wait, I had to see the fall-out from the Baldwin fiasco and where Midge's career might next take her.

I wasn't aware a Blade Runner series already existed. I never heard of it.

Having Ridely Scott as a producer seems like good news to me.

Scott has been a very mixed bag for me. I was really disappointed with what he did with the Alien Covenant and Prometheus. Aside from looking great, having nice atmosphere and a strong cast, they were very uninspired and had loads of idiotic plot points and stupid characters. And then hearing what he did with the various cuts of Blade Runner. As I understand it he was the one pushing for the Harrison Ford voice overs.

I did like his recent Last Duel, but disliked and was bored by House of Gucci. I also liked Raised by Wolves, for as much as I saw of it. But I'm not sure how much he was involved aside from directing the pilot, and being credited as a producer. As I understand it a producer is a very non-descript job, and can mean a lot of things.

Anyway, I hope it turns out good, but not getting my hopes up.

Being very close to the end of S9 of TWD, I was very curious about something. So I looked again at some wikis, and man was I disappointed.
