Farflame spotted update 0.8.3.4 for SpellMaster: The Saga:
Update 0.8.3.4More information.
- The old enemy - the bear has been replaced with a new one.
- New enemies - plague rat, swamp rat.
- Adjusted the balance of the difficulty of the enemies.
- Increased number of enemies.
- Added chests with items.
- Performance improvements.
- Improved wooden towers.

this is the closest thing to gothic. by far better than elex even incomplete.

Saying this exceeds Elex is rather high praise; if it delivers on that, I'm likely to pick this up once it exists the early access stage.

They are literally pushing updates every week, and 0.8 is not a full game by definition. It's early access.
Basically released in an unfinished state to get money hence the negative reviews.

I don't like that the game was launched unfinished and not marked as early access. That was a mistake.
That said, the idea of the game is great. This type of game is the exact type of game I'm always on the lookout for. So, if he keeps updating and at sometime the game is in a finished state I will give it a go, but not now.
