Hello,
I was a big fan of Raven Softwares first and only game for the Amiga - Black Crypt which was distributed by EA.
5 new levels have been released.

It will work under emulation, has been tested with WinUAE. It is the Amiga version I don't recall a Dos version ever being made.

There's a PC version with two levels that was released in the late 90s, if anyone wants an easier way of getting a taste of what it was like. Then again, I have no idea how compatible it is with newer OSes.

That's too bad, as I'm pretty sure I'd really enjoy playing this one.
Meeting the two headed ettin romping around level two was quite an experience back then. You could hear it before you could see it and when it revealed itself it was a "holy shit!" moment.
And there was the level not far after that (?) with the invisible monsters that was pretty darn difficult without the mask that allows you to see them.
Fond memories.

Nod, I played it back in the day because a mate had the machine for it. Since I never replayed the game, I can barely recall it now, yet I'm certain I'd enjoy it all over again. It would be nice if it were easily available for computer folk these days via great old games or steam.

I was a huuuuge fan of this particular subgenre back in the day.
Black Crypt remains my overall favorite.
Runners up: Eye of the Beholder 2, Captive, Dungeon Master, Xenomorph, Stonekeep and Lands of Lore.
