Default Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game

October 3rd, 2014, 15:26
Fallout 2 is a CRPG set in a Post Apocalyptic world. You play the Chosen One, the direct descendant of the Vault Dweller from the original Fallout. The village elders have selected you to wear the sacred Vault-suit and, in time, to ascend to the leadership of your people. First you must prove your devotion to your people and journey out into the wastelands. Your tribe needs help…

More information.

It only took me two decades to reach the final cinematics. But WHAT A BLAST! It motivated me to write an extensive review:

Oh man, the love I have for this game, it ranks pretty highly in the list of those that I tend to replay every few years.

I think I completed it soon after it came out and really haven't tried to do a playthrough since. All I really remember is that I became a championship boxer and a porn star.

Still one of my favorite RPGs but I'm sorry to say it looks jaded nowadays. There was some recent rumors the older titles are getting remade by inXile Entertainment..

I had a computer-less period in my 20's that lasted ~5 years. During that span, my parents bought a computer and I bought a few games to play when I went over there. They were Fallout 2, Albion, Blade Runner, and Grim Fandango (which I later traded for Curse of Monkey Island). When I finally had my own computer again, Fallout 2 was one of the first batch of games I bought and I finally finished it.
