Default G3 glitch: caves go dark

My mistake it was not availble in the first village, I found whenI restarted, so its only available early with the Reddock smith when you get one.
Though the first village smith had great stuff but expensive. it didnt require the Lamp Oil, jsut Imoar mentions it as his destination.
