Default Set Point conflict

July 18th, 2007, 10:02
Here's a weird one. I recently installed a new mouse and with it, Logitech's Set Point software. The mouse is great (MX Revolution), but it seems to be conflicting with some games, notably FO 2!! If I switch it off the game runs, if it's loaded, the game won't load!! Does anyone have any ideas about this. I'm running XP64 on an AMD dual core system with 2MB RAM(or is that GB, I can never remember) and a 7800GTX.

I'm not in the habit of bothering with the software that comes with a mouse. So, I can't fix your problem but I'll bet you aren't using the software…my vote is to dump it.

I have done so, but I'd like to know why mouse software is incompatible with a game!!

That's life with Logitech, I'm afraid. Several years ago the quality of their drivers and other software dropped down to "hit-and-miss." I returned a few of their products and finally decided to give up on them for good.
