MotB: regeneration in armor bugged?

I crafted myself a breastplate of regeneration, and… became immortal. Hit points never drop below 1. At least I think that's the reason. Anyone else experience the same, or was it a once-off? (Used two brilliant water essences and Protection from Energy.)

Never experienced anything similar.

But then again, I always use the redicilously overpowered Okku to deal with any frontline stuff, so my main character never actually drops below 50%.
