I can't continue without advice from users.

I need feedback, badly. I can see by the counters that people are reading threads and visiting the site.

I've heard that for some people everything chokes up right away, and I've seen this myself on Macs.

If anyone starting HE could take a few seconds to post a thread just saying "It runs fine", or "It's slow and unplayable" it would help.

Everything has always run fine for me and I can't really continue without some kind of advice from users.

It runs fine for me, but as it has already been suggested you really ought to implement a coloured mark around the tile of the character whose turn it is when in combat mode. The combat really suffers from the lack of this.
