Default Adding more port direction ot my router.

November 9th, 2007, 01:36
Here's a question that probably only Prime Junta could even begin to help with.

Running a NWN server on Gamespy, hosting a webserver etc. and running multiple machines on my LAN quickly took up the 20 or so slots I had available on my various Linksys routers.

I was discussing this problem with my buddy at college and he was aware of SDK's available where you do that.

Some research on the "cloud" tells me that there's OpenWRT among other things. CISCO apparently opened up the source code to the WRT54S routers (mine's a GS) and there are a number of applications built for them.

Unfortunately, what I've found so far is arcane and all I'm looking to do is increase the number of ports I have available to redirect or be able to modify them to make them more flexible (like checking two machines).

Its a long shot but any help would be appreciated.
