Who are these chracters?

In these two screenshots are characters that I do not remember encountering in the game, and I did finish it.

This looks like it's from the first area of Chapter 1, but I don't remember the character's nor the situation.

One of the characters, the one in both shots, is Berengar the other Witcher, who has a game-long quest about what he's up to. I agree, I didn't experience either of these sequences in the actual released game--maybe from a pre-release version--or perhaps the result of following a different path(I was neutral)?
