That does look good. Thanks - first I've heard of it.

One of the very few game I bought months before release :) Very very anticipated ..

Also did just recently. All of NT's game had a strong cast and emotional storylines( well except for DmC), but this seems dialed to 11 in comparison.

This looks good. Nice combat, not over the top and arcadey like DMC. I'll probably be picking it up. Why only $30 though? Not that I'm complaining but production values looks like a $60 game.

They said than they aimed at AAA quality but with a shorter game hence the price to reflect this.

A game about insanity? The price is only 29.00
Compared to the annual Florida vacation with the family, insanity is on the bargain rack.

Waiting on it tommorrow on Gog, think it should already be on Steam in few hours.
Impressions seem very positive so far.

I'm not going to reward the game Hellblade might be. I'm going to deal with the game Hellblade is, and the game Hellblade is right now, it's a broken piece of crap. An unplayable, broken piece of crap. And the fact that it was an enjoyable, broken unplayable piece of crap before it revealed itself to be a broken unplayable piece of crap is perhaps what infuriates me more than anything else.

Even if I was interested in this rubbish in the first place, this input would kill it for me.

Note that Metacritic PS4 aggregate is currently 8/10 on this title:

There is no "consensus" yet for PC version.

It has to be said that atm he is reconsidering his review and especially his 1/10 score. "Sometimes you don’t quite consider every facet of something until the thing is done. Unfortunately this was the case with a previously published review for Hellblade."

pibbur who finds the concept behind the game interesting.

The style of game doesn't really appeal to me, but the concepts and the new tech do.

That's a rather silly review from Jim. I don't think giving this game a 1/10 does his credibility much good. Seems he's had the sense to realise it, though.

Yes. He said something like giving it 1/10 would put it in the same class as some-in-his-opinion-really-bad games. But he actually liked the game a lot, until that game breaking bug.

Jim placed a better score on new Zelda with Ubi towers than on The Witcher 3 so... I wouldn't bother with his numbering system much. ;)

But if the game is a broken pos as he suggests, then I cannot understand the metacritic aggregate that puts it into highly average group (8/10).

But he doesn't think the game is a POS per se. He thinks the game is good and fun. It's the game breaking bug that made him furious. By all means, it's a nasty bug, especially because autosaving made it impossible to reload before the bug was triggered, so you had to start the game anew. Of course this must be reflected in the review and the score. But he liked the story, gameplay and etc., and he thinks the game "deserves to succeed". ATM he seems to be a bit unsure how to handle it.

BTW, the bug isn't unavoidable, so other reviewers may not have experienced it.

He mentions that he was playing until 4am. Perhaps there had been too much coffee, or other beverages. I suspect that he lost his save, threw his controller at the cat, and had a bit of an internet tantrum.

The input of a guy who gives a 1 to a game he liked because of a bug he is the only one to notice? Something you can so easily patch?
He still does not know than he reviews games fresh from the oven and some burning is expected?
That is really the kind of guy I would listen for advises, yes.
Sounds legit.

Give him some slack. He did decide he needed to reconsider fairly soon.
