I'm not sure how many have played Die by the Sword but this sword fighting game Hellish Quart has a lot of potential.

There is a free demo on the Steam page if anyone wants to try it out.

I remember this game on Kickstarter a few years back, but I could be wrong about that? Anyway for RPGs Kingdom Come Deliverance had a realistic combat system as well.

I came across this guy when I was researching melee combat. He's very…um, fond of bladed weapons. He has a video about which medieval weapons would be best to defend your apartment.

I played the demo of Die by the Sword. The demo convinced me to never touch that game. WAY WAY too hard just to swing a sword!

If you want very close to real world physics sword fighting, there's of course also Exanima. You really don't.

But the game showcased here actually looks interesting, I'm just not sure I want to have that much detail. Probably, something akin to Mount and Blade's level of abstraction is the sweet spot for me.
