When does Borderlands end? Is it at the Vault? If so, I think I'm getting owned by the final boss. Since they increased the difficulty in one of the last patches for this game, this dude is a pain. I think I've died about 50 times, though I'm a sniper specialist, so something with 500,000 hp is hard to take out with an ammo supply of 96 bullets. I have an unlimited ammo alien weapon but its fire rate is like 2 shots a week. I'm going out and gonna try to get some combat rifle and SMG weapons and try to finish him off with those.

To those who have played Borderlands 2, does it have a little deeper NPC interaction or is it still weak there? Outside of Tannis, I thought all the rest of the NPC's were lame. Tannis is hilarious :)

Are there any of the DLC in either game that should be considered, DON'T MISS? I only tried the Moxxi one and it was just wave after wave of combat with no drops…..

Final question: Are there any other series like these? Far Cry, Stalker, etc? I've played Fallout and Deus Ex that are kinda shooters.

As I said before B2 is more of the same and is true about NPCs also but there are a few of them that are made a little better . I like Tiny Tina for example.

Sounds like you're just about finished. I've not fought that battle in ages, but I do remember it being a dull, terribly drawn-out shootfest. Someone really loved their hp-sponge baddies.

The NPCs in Borderlands 2 are a bit more developed, both quest-givers and baddies, and have a lot more to say. There are quite a few who are almost as entertaining as Tanis.

Moxxi is the worst of the Borderlands 1 DLCs, and the only one that I did not finish. Zombie island is cute, but not outstanding, still worth checking out if you like the game, Claptrap's is quite good, and Secret Armory is the best part of Borderlands 1 (it was really good).

There is not a great deal of meaningful NPC interaction in either game, but Borderlands 2 does at least flesh them out a lot more, and make them more interesting. Also, boss encounters are better. In fact, Borderlands 2 is better in almost every way.

I found Borderlands to be a boring grindfest for the most part, and I couldn't wait to be finished by the time I started getting close to the end.

I don't recall the final boss being that difficult though. I think it took me 3 or 4 tries at the most. Fwiw, I played as the Siren.

Yeah, JDR, but I suck at shooters :D I'm gonna try the boss a few more times and then go play claptrap and secret armory, if I'm high enough level.
