If anyone remembers the Commodore PET, it is now available under that name as a phone.

It's launching first in France, Germany, Italy and Poland for $300 or $365, model depending
The very moment I see it somewhere available nearby, it's instabuy.
If it sux, I'll just pass it to my mother to play some real (C64) games instead of current milk'em'baby phonegames. :)

So it is a mid-line Android phone on a 'phablet' frame running an official emulator, for $300? Not sure how that prices it against other comparable phones in the EU ... but doesn't sound awful.

No - it is an Android phone with an emulator. And personally I was an Apple ][+ then Mac/PC guy and never cared about C64 / Amiga / etc ... :)

Also, it was discovered that the 'Commodore Phone' is simply a cheap Chinese Orgtec WaPhone - but they added the Commodore name two emulators ... and doubled the price! Who do they think they are ... Apple?!? :D

Head over Heels, Elite, Uridium, etc

That's IMO sad.
Especially since Apple IIc had the same CPU as C64 did, but lacked of raster and separate sound chip.

I didn't have the ][c ... that came 4 years after I bought mine :)

This product is something to consider when people claim that people who have money and power deserve it.

It is just a phone that is priced too high, but not for those people who are nostalgic about the Commodore brand. The phone can do almost the same as the old PET, it just doesn't have a functionality for using a tape deck :)

I remember the old PET. And I remember how happy I was that we got an Apple ][+ instead. Call -151 for the win!
