He totally was that influential, and managed to do it on both sides of the pond. His like will not be seen again, and I'm sure the current music business would simply horrify him. RIP.

I'd say rest in peace but maybe banging the hell out of a piano would be better. Few did it better. And it took some real balls to be as real as he was when he was. Rest however you like. You earned it.
