NWN 2: Storm of Zehir - Hotfix and 1.23 Patch

Rob McGinnis of Obsidian had the following to say on their forums:

We are going to go ahead with releasing a small patch in December to take care of some of the small things that cropped up with 1.21/SoZ.

1.23 is still planned for January, though we may do an extended beta with it, since it will contain:

Content autodownloader
Haks loading before character creation
Version checking of PWC files
Adjustments to WASD
and more!

Hmm, could anything interesting done with "Haks loading before character creation?" Easier custom races and classes?

they haven't since NWN1 because of security reasons.

the two problems that occurred on a servervault server was that player would need to either manually email the character bic file to the host and it could very easily be rendered illegal if ELC was turned on and there was just one thing wrong.

you want ELC on to prevent people from hacking the character creation process in the first place.
