So who are you playing? What is there name and profile? Share a shot

I have been in the creation screen for the last hour - I will be trying out various initial characters for a few days before I settle on a final one. Character creation is often the highlight of most any game for me.

Haven't decided on name yet, something cliche I am sure. Wolf, Garulf, Tork, Grim, or some such. Have his backstory mostly plotted out and some ideas on his build - mainly an anti-tech guy who prefers melee combat. Strong and charming with a keen and perceptive eye.

He looks hardcore, badass, and serious I think my guy came out a bit dopey but then his intelligence is only 3 and his perception 2 so he isn't very sharp to being with.

Yeaah, what's up with his eyes? Sort of crosseyed? Intentional or Bethesda quality?

For those curious just a few randoms while I explored the local town. And a shot of Wulf doing the laundry. I am pretty happy with the graphics but wouldn't mind some texture upgrades. Xenius already released his FO4 eye pack which I installed and a big difference on that alone.

My guy is pudgy, pasty looking and semi-terrified at all times. I like people to underestimate him, until the sledgehammer comes out

I'm actually playing a girl. I did in bloodborne as well. I've never really tried playing the opposite sex before except in games such as tomb raider where there's no choice so it will be interesting to see if there's a noticeable difference in how NPC's treat me.

I like the semi-terrified description. I suspect that would be me if I was in the game for real

My final version - had to go back and tweak a little when I learned how to rotate the head in the editor

Nice to see shots from other gamers and like the godrays.

Been fooling around with a custom preset.

And a vintage version I only just started to muck with. Mainly for a more cinematic feel:

Good pics. I spent like two seconds on the character screen. Picked facial hair and left for the vault

I'll wait a couple months for some texture packs so it doesn't feel like I'm playing an uglier FNV FO3

Nice - doesn't seem like those bodies behind him slowed him down

I wouldn't mind some updated textures myself.

wolfgrimdark - I like your character's look, he looks badass. When I eventually get around to playing FO4, I might create a similar looking one too!

Is your character based on your real life looks?

I don't look the character you created in real life but for some reason I tend create characters in RPG who look like the one you created lol

Ah thanks very much! I put a lot of time into my main character. I didn't finalize him till yesterday - took me three days and three tries (and three start overs from the vault) before I was happy with him. Now I can finally start to really play - which I did till 2am this morning

Here is his final look:

As to what I base my characters on - well in general I design all my characters, in any game, around who and what I would like to be if I were to actually exist as someone in the game world. A few folks said my Skyrim character, Grim, looks a little like me when I was in my late 30's to early 40's from photos they have seen. Probably because the shaved head, tightly trimmed beard, skin color, and athletic appearance.

But it varies depending on the options for making a character for the game. For Wolf he has a full head of hair as for once I actually liked many of the haircuts for men in a game - usually dislike them so go shaved. Plus I was aiming for a slightly dopey but handsome and masculine look to fit his personality.

In general most of my characters share common traits when I have a lot of options for making a character - dark black hair, (short cut or shaved), beard stubble or trimmed very short, bushy brows, green eyes, large square cut chin, thick jaw line, and muscular build.
