https://www.pcgamesn.com/bully-schol…ition/pc-patch
Two years to the day after the original version, Github user Silent (CookiePLMonster) has published the third public beta build of their Bully ‘SilentPatch’. It offers a bunch of fixes, tweaks, and improvements to help get us modern PC players tearing around Bullworth Academy and up to all kinds of scrapes and shenanigans free of crashes and bugs once again. Lovely.
Rockstar. A multibillion dollars worth company that loves PC. Incapable to fix their own bugs.

https://segmentnext.com/2020/03/09/e…linear-reward/
EA Patents Non-Linear Battle Pass-Like Reward System

The seasonal reward system can provide users with a non-linear map that allows the users to choose how to progress through the reward map when advancing or leveling up a virtual character or user account within the video game.
The virtual map can provide a visual representation of a non-linear pathway or tracks that a user can follow based on how the user would like to proceed and what types of rewards the user prefers to unlock. The reward map provides a series of reward nodes connected by links, resulting in a plurality of pathways or tracks that a user can select during advancement within the video game.

I bet the patent's name is: ways of milking 101 for A.D. 2020.

No link.
Gamestop ordered their employees to stay at work or else.

In a civilized country CEO of such company would be instantly jailed for life. In a noncivilized would be executed. But somehow he's still free.
What sort of an imbecille one has to be to insist on keeping potential virusspreading spots open? Whoever that is, he has to be removed from the society, never to return.

Not sure if anything changed about that story, I'm basically under siege the whole week and have no time for news. All the free time I use for playing videogames otherwise I'm gonna explode.

https://screenrant.com/electronic-ar…ns-fans-angry/
furthering its attempts to encourage players to stay at home during this crisis, EA took to Twitter to ask players why they couldn’t be more like Ice-T, who had earlier posted on his own thread remarking how he was “home chillin, playin Video games… Nothin to see here.” The result of EA’s rhetorical query was an impromptu roast by majority of those who opted to comment on the thread. Users remarked on the horror of EA’s servers, their inability to release unbroken games, and their track record for destroying companies such as BioWare.
I remember days EA decided to kill all possible forums and move to social networks. Seems the decision backfired.

The best Far Cry villain may make a return to the series soon, according to the actor who voiced him.
A prequel incoming obviously because FC4 and FC5 were boring junk, while FC: Primal whatnot was even worse.
Of course I'm gonna buy another game with Vaas, but would the franchise need such revival if wasn't mismanaged in the first place?

I've tried not to add stuff here till covid is gone as we need as much optimism as we can, but…

https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articl…ithout-consent
Kids app developer HyperBeard will pay a $150,000 settlement to the Federal Trade Commission for illegally collecting information from young players.

The settlement was reached following an official complaint from the FTC in which it alleged that HyperBeard violated the terms of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Rule.

The $4 million penalty will be suspended if HyperBeard pays $150,000, due to its inability to pay the full amount.

Just jail them already!

Okay, but what does the Federal Trade Commission do with that money ß I mean, not the data of the Federal Trade Commision was illegally collected, but rather that of young people … Shouldn't these young people be those who get something back ?

using persistent identifiers without parental consent. The data from the identifiers was used to target advertising.
Okay, humans are now treated like cows ready to milk … And companies believe they can do everything in such a company-friendly environment like the USA …

I browsed through the page and found this even more worrying :
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articl…s-over-refunds

Seemingly campanies are making people believe that they have no rights.

And Mr. Kotick still gets his money, whether shareholders want it or not …
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articl…s-compensation

And Take Two clearly imitates EA now by destroying and leeching the developers of Kerbal : https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articl…pace-program-2

Sony ensures that only games published in China can be played by Chinese people : https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articl…-door-in-china
They're all in a Chinese reality bubble now.

Even more worrying : Opinion Article : https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articl…censor-opinion
People feel so entitled about a game that
"they entitled to demand gigantic changes to a game that hasn't even been released yet and rejoice in seeing it being censored by oppressive regimes because it has made the unimaginable decision to include characters they can't masturbate to."
The sequel, in particular, does some clearly unforgiveable cardinal sins, such as "you don't play as a grizzled looking man anymore" , "the main character is a lesbian woman".
[…]the real goal is to send a message that the kind of creative decisions made here - diversity, a story exploring something other than cookie cutter hero's journey, characters designed for something other than one-handed appreciation - will be punished.[…]
Sounds like Gamers Gate Group to me.

[…]Their comfort zone for story, and and characterization is about the size of a postage stamp; and endless barren wasteland of grizzled yet virile men who speak in emotionless grunts and mostly communicate through violence, Barbie-Doll women who are sassy and sexually available, and occational racial stereotype NPCs for comedy value.
Sounds like a partial description of Gothic to me.

Gothic games are all basically sausage fest. I fail to see what's wrong with that.
And, connected to that fact, for all I can remember there are no kids. Of course there aren't.

What, you wanted an option to romance a male troll?
Now when I think about it… If such option existed I'd definetly go for it. Can't remember any RPG that allows that and I'm kinda against the mainstream person so the crazier the game gets, more fun to me.

Well now, I did play the skeleton "hero" in DOS2, I mean cmon, can there be any other option for me?
Not sure though who I romanced and if I did at all. If I did, obviously it wasn't anything extraordinary otherwise I'd remember.

Not quite the same, but the Witcher 2 had that quest where you can help sort out a troll couple's romantic problems.

Yeah, in Dragon Commander?

There's similar options with different types of undead in several of the King's Bounty games. Also including Demons, Orcs, Dwarves…

Yep, a skeleton lady in Dragon Commander.
And a zombie lady in Ego Draconis, if I remember correctly.

EA banned a youtuber in whatever phone scamware. Apparently for breaking TOS, LOL
By playing an account that spent $15K on that scamware (through account sharing).

Why is that bs? Because the guy criticized the game. Game… It's actually hard for me to call that a game.

I can't bring myself to watch a video in which the Youtuber is dressed like the captain of the Love Boat.

Yeah, I have very little patience for YouTube ranting. YouTube videos are for teaching me new recipes, or how to fix appliances.
