That virtual land sale sounds like someone took the premise of Shroud of the Avatar to an obscene level. People truly will buy anything, I suppose. I am curious as to what Atari will do with the items of this purchase, time will tell.

Atari was the seller not the purchaser.

Unless you're referring to Antstream and MobyGames in which case they'll probably just stamp their name on the sites.

Yeah, I was referring to the three words that followed Atari. Of course that's only an option, so we'll see what happens there.

Mobygames is super useful for researching old games, and they're obviously a ton of old RPGs. It would be unfortunate if it is sold to Atari in my view. Then again, good on the developers of that website for making some money if that's how it works out.

hmm… This sounds more akin to Facebook buying Wikipedia. Bad news for the internet.

How is this company still relevant? As after the bankruptcy they lost almost everything.

Just when you finally think Atari is licked, they attempt another….comeback? Or something, I'm not quite sure what it is, tbh.

I think they've been focusing primarily on the mobile market in recent years. They also recently released a new console called the Atari VCS.
