Things missing in Medieval-Fantasy games (dirt, sewage, tanneries,...)

Personally, I LOVED that game BECAUSE it had no realism in it !

But that comes rather from my own frustration that MOST games define "realism" as "having more blood, more gore. more violence" …

Besides, please take a look at my current ( for years now ) signature !
Yeah I think it's good for games that have that kind of style to be in that way :)

Adding environmental noise can be a lot of work. Just take a broken chair: it's going to have a lot more surfaces than a normal chair, so more work modelling and texturing. On top of that it's useless except for a slight enhancement of the atmosphere.

SWTOR has a lot of "war dirt" on some maps. Corellia, the planet, for example. I'm always hugely impressed in how much work they did into creating a destroyed world !
