I hope you don't assume I will click that spoiler tag… or you're just tempting me.

Sinister: Solid piece of horror. Really well made and left me slightly creeped out. 8/10
The conjuring: Another modern horror movie. Less scary but well made. 7/10
Even horizon: I remember it watching it as a child and it haunted me over the years. What a disappointment. Best example of how time can distorts one's memories. 1/10

It's there, you choose what to do. Whatever you choose, you won't get disappointed.

You're too generous on that one. It's one of those worthless movies you really shouldn't waste time on, ever. It's not horror, it's not fantasy, it's not sci fi, it's not even drama - it's a fancylooking garbage that even it's good cast couldn't save.
A horror/scifi movie childern should watch and get haunted with for years is one and only - Alien.

Last of the Mohicans

It's been a while since I watched this. I always loved it, but for some reason it struck a nerve this time.

Just a superb experience with some of the best music ever put to film.

It doesn't hurt that it contains perhaps my favorite sequence of all time:

Mad Max - Fury Road

Well, I didn't quite know what to expect from this. It was massively hyped - and I tend to get massively let down by such films.

But… I wasn't.

I thought it was a unique experience and an entertaining experience. It was quite the visual feast and an adrenaline rush.

It wasn't predictable either, which I find to be very rare in large productions.

But it has flaws too.

I think some of it was simply too quirky for the sake of being quirky. I get that it's supposed to be humorous, and it was for the most part. But I'm just not a big fan of this kind of, shall we say, Terry Gilliamesque weirdness.

Characters were awfully one-note and failed to engage me for the most part, but I guess it wasn't really needed for what's basically one long action sequence. There were a few quiet moments, and they helped tremendously. I think the movie could have been better with a bit more of a build-up and character depth. One or two more characters with the kind of arc that the young fanatical driver had, would have worked wonders for the film. It would have given it the emotional structure to take it into masterpiece territory.

Overall, though, I consider it a very impressive achievement - and I recognise that much of my criticism has to do with me not really being the target audience.

I give Mad Max praise for simply not being the fetid pile of rubbish I fully expected. Surprisingly it kept my wife engaged - she hates movies of these types, not at all a fan of the earlier ones … but she stuck with it.

My GF is a huge fan of pointless action movies - so this was perfect for her.

I keep telling her that she has an awful taste in movies - and she just laughs at me

Just found this awesome video of some blacksmith guys forging the Soul Reaver blade from Legacy of Kain. Awesome stuff. Fans will really get a kick out of it.

Terminator : Genisys
Watched yesterday in the cinema. 3D effects are not bad…the movie it self, well, not that bad either. But not that great. Hope there will be no more.
6.5/10

That is why I watched today a much better film, IMHO. It is from 2011,
Another Earth, written and directed by Mike Cahill.
Personally, I think Mike has great potential in the film making industry. Movies like Another Earth and I Origins are a true gem among all the other trash Hollywood spews out.
So, kudos to Mike!

I'm in the theatre right now watching it, or at least I was before the power went out. I'd give it a 7/10 based on what I've seen so far. The actors they cast to play John Connor and Kyle Reese are a big letdown…

Ok… it's back on now

*Edit* A big disappointment to be sure. I thought it went downhill fast after the halfway point. Subpar acting, cliché dialogue, and implausible action sequences. Imo, it was the worst movie in the series so far.

So, the power went out, but then it said: "I'l be back" LOL
I had to throw that pun…oh boy talking about cliché which was very annoying in the movie.

Somehow I think T5 is not worst than T3…I mean that movie is so bad I want to set my hair on fire.

But, at least the time line has been settled, and Skynet is no more, the future is bright and the roads are open for humanity to continue living.

Rise of the Machines was a letdown compared to the first two films, but that had to be expected after the job James Cameron did. I still enjoyed it more than Genesys though, and the cast was certainly a lot better.

I did not. Pretty much stormed out of the cinema.
So, then I guess I missed something important…care to say what's it about?

Oh, so that it…for the love of Freya! Whyy!?

But, it does not have to mean that there will be more movies.
It could be a play for thoughts, for the fans to play with…or in 3-4 years comes T6.

The only good Terminator movie is the first one.

James Cameron started out with a bang, if we ignore that Piranha debut, and his movies rank as follows:

Terminator 8.5/10
Aliens 9/10
Abyss 7/10
T2 5/10
True Lies 6.5/10
Titanic 6/10
Avatar 3/10

In my opinion, obviously.

Ideas:
- There is a curse that eventually kills you.
- To prevent your death, all you need to do is to curse another person.
- But if that person dies, your life is again at stake, so you better curse someone again.
- The curse is in fact a veneric desease, spreads by having sex.
- But spreading it around, sleeping with any"thing", you also risk on getting AIDS and etc.
- Knowing all this, what's the best solution?

This setup could have been a brilliant movie, if was japanese horror or french torture porn entry. Sadly, it's not.

To all of those who want to see how a great idea can be miswritten and destroyed by untalented moviemaker, rent and watch It Follows:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3235888/
Don't worry, the movie is not boring, but is also not scary, nor in the end you'll be satisfied. It's just… Meh. Or should I say, it's a blueprint for modern Hollywood garbage where lack of talent prevents great ideas to blossom and as such it deserves to be watched for sakes of education/analysis how a movie should not be made.

The rest of you, just skip it.
