What games are you playing now?

I play on Pro but I have seen someone else play on the normal PS4 but tbh the difference isn't huge. Apparently a proper HDR TV makes huge difference to visuals of HZD than the Pro. My TV is 4K but not HDR.

Yeah, it's a bit overkill - I know. It's mostly because I want it to support my higher resolution monitor properly :)

I haven't heard a single pertinently negative thing about Horizon Zero Dawn, it seems to generally please everyone who plays it. This could be because its talked about less, or it could be that it is actually a very good game.

There are a few reasons you heard nothing negative about HZD.

The game didn't bite more than it can chew, it's developers are aware of it's platform restrictions and did not try to drive 500mph in a car that can't do that so it didn't break like AC:Unity.
Second thing that happened was the publisher not blessing the halfarsed release with statement "no need to work on it more, it's good enough", means, the game's fate wasn't Batman Arkham Knight on PC.
Level of polish aside, not Polish though. The game learned from TW3, meaningless idiocies and filler were doomed and sidecontent is equally important as reviewers_only main story.

I haven't played the game, but I've read enough to wish for it's port on PC.
Currently, even if all I saw from it were screenshots, comics and random articles, I wouldn't object if it gets crowned as GOTY 2017 on sites that follow all possible platforms.

I'm replaying the campaign of Diablo. I tried to play without stealing stuff off my old toons, but I caved and moved all the gems from my level 56 character to my new Wizard. The game is a lot more blasty when you're wearing modifiers someone else earned ;)

I would love to keep upgrading my crafters but it gets extremely expensive. I've upgraded them some, but it's like 100-200,000 to go higher and I find gold extremely hard to come by. Of course, I'm just level 42 in the 2nd act.

I don't plan on raiding or rifting or anything, just the campaign. The meta-gaming stuff just doesn't seem like fun though most people only play that way :)

Be sure to enable boost mode in the setting for your PS4 pro. It allows the system to use the extra cpu and gpu power even if games weren't made too. My brother said it made a big difference in some of his games and I've heard the same elsewhere on the net. I enabled the first day I got mine so I can't comment first hand on improvements.

It was added in update 4.5 and later and is disabled by default.

So I decided to replay the DA games and I went to my Dragon Age Keep to see what stuff I haven't done yet in DAO and DA2 (all the achievements are in there).

I discovered I created 79 characters in DAI. Dang, that means I did the intro 79 times, lol. Only one of them ever finished the game and three made it to Skyhold…

Now to decide what kind of Warden to play…

edit:
My only not unlocked class related stuff in DAO is Rogue and all Archer talents....meh.

battle brothers and will begin next days planetscape

I am seriously addicted to Battle Brothers at the moment. I don't think I've actually played anything else since it was released. On the one hand I'm happy to have found a game I like this much. But in the other hand I'm a little annoyed that all progress on my huge backlog has stopped! Was almost done with a PoE full run and had just started a new play through on the original Divine Divinity.

Have an itch about zombie killing and picked up State of Decay. Seems pretty thorough know how from a brief look.

FInally, FINALLY playing Dishonored 2. My computer is not up to it, but hubby bought a PS4 sometime last year, and a good friend of mine bought himself the PS4 version of Dishonored 2 for Christmas. Preordered it, even.
I told my friend it might be better to play Dishonored before D2, but he didn't want to. Then he started to play D2 … and he hated it. He couldn't stand the crawling, climbing, stealing, sneaking stuff - and combat was too complicated for him. And what were those rune and bone charm markers on the map? Couldn't be interesting, so he ignored them.
Well, he had expected a shooter in the vein of Far Cry, and he was so disappointed that he gave the game to me as a gift two weeks ago. Now the PS4 was full, so when the external HDD arrived yesterday, I FINALLY started playing D2.

I can't say I have come far yet, still on the second mission, but visuals are as enchanting as they are gonk - just like those of the predecessor. Textures, light and shadows resemble those of oil paintings. The world is recognizable even though the setting and some enemy types are different. Dialogue, sounds, ambience … it's all fine I think.
I'm exploring the city very thoroughly, leaving no stone unturned, which is why this is taking me so long. Not killing people is more difficult than it was in the first game, mainly because enemies are way more observant than they used to be. AI is still funny - an Overseer threw a grenade against the window frame in front of him, killing himself and totally wrecking his superior's office. Not sure if his death will be held against me … I hope not :p.

Well, as you might suspect I'm enjoying this game - so far. We'll see what will happen.

EDIT: My friend didn't even cash in his preorder bonuses because he didn't know what that stuff might be good for.

I was afraid it would be strange because I usually don't like pad controls except for beat'em up games, but fortunately, D2 controls don't feel weird at all. Easy to learn, actually. Sure, I accidentally beheaded someone yesterday, and pulling people in needs some practice if you don't want to kill them by smashing them into doorframes and the like, but controls are way more intuitive than I thought they were.

@joxer: Why would I have an external disk for my PS4? I have like, well, four PS4 games, and I just don't like playing in the living room. No, former PC activist Hubby is the console freak nowadays. My idea was to finish Doom to make some room for D2, but hubby insisted on buying a HDD.

PS4? Who's talking about consoles? If you don't have PC, there is no reason to spend $ on it.

I'll be sure to drop some comments when I've played a bit more.

Was going to finish Andromeda these next few days, but now I'm hooked on HZD :)

I'm actually going to use it as an excuse to upgrade to the PS4 pro!

HZD is actually the game which will make me buy a PS4 (perhaps a PS4 Pro).

I really enjoyed Legend of Grimrock.

If you don't mind a suggestion, without spoilers, I'd suggest specialising each character as you won't have enough points to really multi-class. So for example don't give one guy both light and heavy armour or two weapon skills as you then won't max either and still end up only using one or the other.

Same thing with magic, may be tempting to have a mage learn Ice and Fire but would then probably end up being a master of none. (Ice is cool ;) )

Also try make the characters diverse/distinct from eachother. For example having two fighters both using axes and heavy armour could be a waste as you'd find weapons and armour that don't suit them and you wouldn't be able to equip them both with the best of those types of gear.

There's also some good and crazy user made dungeons. I think the "Master Quest" is one which changes up the original game so you can essentially replay the main game, but the puzzles and layout have been altered so you can rediscover and solve things all over. It also supports high lever characters for a NewGame+ situation. Some new stuff too I think.

Then you get crazy stuff like some dungeon that I think may have close to a hundred levels called Lord of Chaos, like I said crazy lol.

Hi, and sorry for the late reply, as I'm on a trip with family :)

First, thank you for your suggestions.
Second, from what I can see, there is no way I can get heavy armour without first spending skill points on light armour. So, a warrior with heavy armour skill will always have light armour skill as well, no matter what.
Third, doesn't the vanilla game has a "cleric" class?
Fourth, since I couldn't make a cleric char, then I went with 2 warriors in the front line (minotaur and Human), and a mage and rogue on rear line (insectoid and lizardman). Maybe it's too late to ask, since I am already on 4th level, but I'll ask anyway: is this a good team?

Who's talking about PC stuff? My external PC HDD is, well, where it should be - connected to my PC.

So - back to Karnaca I go. After about 100 attempts of not killing a handful of guys who attacked me together, I decided to use the 'pulling items towards me' skill so I can steal those runes from afar. But I wasn't observant enough and - instead of pulling the rune off the wall between those guys - jumped against the wall between them. Panic and chaos. Hilarity ensued.

ive started the technomancer for the 3rd or 4th time but now i finally enjoying it, probably wasnt in the mood in the past hehe; i really like the combat and quests with the different outcomes for the 5 factions, very interesting and cool; only 10h in it, level 16 atm and chapter one still, what i dont like, too much walking for quests between those 3 areas in ophir

Apart from playing Horizon Zero Dawn on my PS4 Pro - which is fantastic - I'm also having a bit of a nostalgia love-affair with Lands of Lore 3.

I remember hating it upon release, because of how different it was from LoL and LoL2 in tone and style.

Now, however, it's just delightfully old-school. Having a ton of fun with it.

34 hours in to my second attempt to play witcher 3 and I'm finding it very enjoyable. The first time I played it I tried to play it like skyrim and just run off and explore. I quickly lost interest though as there wasn't much interesting to find.

This time I'm playing it more linearly. I go to the journal find a quest in my level range and do it then repeat. Since quest design and production values are what the game excels at i find it a very satisfying way to play. Also seems to be a pretty logical way to play it since quests control game pacing and leveling and leveling controls character development and loot.

I learned pretty early on to play that way. I took a level 23 quest at level 9 to see if I could do it. I actually had no trouble with the quest line and helped a blacksmith who promised to forge me a super duper amazing sword ( my words not his) for my trouble. After a job well done I was at level 10 and he crafted me a level 7 sword that was weaker than a number of weapons I already had. Lesson learned play the game linearly and pay close attention to levels.

Just one more example of why I hate leveled loot in games.
