I'm looking forward to this one. I don't mind what sexual level of explicitness (that a word?) they use, but I feel they'd shoot their own foot if they get the show tagged as 18+ because of it. I only hope the story is good, the acting top notch, and the outlandish creatures of Tolkien don't look fake and cheaply made.

Those things would all put me off watching something that by default many people like me will watch just because of the setting.

Maybe y'all should apologize for bein' a bunch of prudes.

I'm usually all for M (games) or R (film/series) and the motor of my life is getting every entertainment product that is banned or censored somewhere.

But Tolkien was not into softporn and definetly wasn't a sort of sjw either.
Fans loved his work for what it is and that includes me.
It needs no "fixing".

Honestly, I'm truly hoping for a show that can be a centric hub for families to enjoy together. It doesn't have to be nudi-city, nor filled with bloody deaths and mayhem, simply have a nice cadre of characters and a rich world with which to explore through them. The ages are pretty well already laid out and established, a good road map exists, they just need a few smart souls to navigate it. Plenty of shows have had violence, there are ways of doing it so that it's not so graphic.

The Tolkien estate would never let it happen...yeah right!
