Songs that make you smile…. despite a ‘yikes, how awful! cry deep inside… Or vice versa. :)

It has slayed me for the past fifty or so years, every single time that I hear Bill Shatner perform, "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds", I just cannot stop the giggles. Seeing it live once literally blew my mind.

You mean William? You mean this one?

Personally I think Bohemian Rhapsody is better/more amusing/cringing:

One of the comments:
I will not do drugs, I will not do drugs. Please don’t let the sky shatner eat me

That first one makes me hungry!

@vurt;
Thanks for contributing. I think if I had to choose, which is hard, I liked that Ernie and Bert go BRUTAL best.
That great Fichtl’s Lied was mentioned in another thread as well, it makes you wonder what’s in German beer. If they’d start that playing at the borders, how many would dare to cross it? ;)
The Ketchupbot is not really a song of course, but every one knows the tune, and as one YouTube poster mentioned “this video sums up humanity”. :)

I got your links via the mail, going to the thread I saw Couchpotatos’ post but his ones got me an error.
So I’ll give the links again.

@Kordanor;
Ah, yes, I forgot about that one! Pineapple pen is really fantastic, how does one come up with the idea, brilliant.

“Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi, soon I'm gonna be a Jedi”. More memorable than the original. :)

Thanks!

Yeah my fault as I used his links from the quoted reply, but the Ernie and Bert go BRUTAL video is not available in my country. So moving on fixed the links the videos in my post.

Weird Al Yankovic was recently in our city, and that forced me to drag out his three D album from, 83 or 84 I think? Anyways, the last song on the album is "Nature Trail to Hell", an excellent song. Ok, the whole bloody album is exceptional, but that song is simply brilliant.

Too bad Weird Al Jankovic's music albums aren't available here ... Or at least I never saw them.
Maybe they placed it in some dark corner in the shop.

Grab them from Amazon and, for pity's sake, do NOT listen to them over the internet!!! Nothing has destroyed music these days more than crappy compression of music, except perhaps the lack of real, innovative musicians these days. Don't even get me started on the decline of music that both the internet and Clinton's policies started us on.

The Nicki Rose thing isn't actually that bad. ^^
Reminds me a bit of Bauhaus and of a song called "Chemical Land" which was one of the first sonds I (more or less) downloaded by accident from ze interwebz ^^
Imho still a cool song, though not of the funny type. Here is it anyways. :p

But to contribute something more fitting to this thread, here is Zlad! :D
Becomes even more interesting if you read about the background story ^^

Speaking of Zlad! and the Eurovision Song contest…

In Germany we had and still have some kind of pre-elections for it…and this band was one contributor. They have some very nice songs. Though not really my favorite the one presented at the qualification was quite cool, but…apparently did not meet the majority's taste. ^^

Well, guess 2000 the world wasn't ready yet for Lordi and co ^^
