PC Gamer reports some more details about the Moon DLC for Prey.

The Prey hype machine started cranking over again today with the appearance of a number of new achievements on Steam. They're not properly named, but they do provide a clue to what's coming: From top to bottom, they spell out, "If you believed they put a man on the moon."

That's a matter of opinion (obviously). I actually think Prey was one of the better unique ip; while the game itself could use a lot of tweaks to smooth things out and reduce some repetition I think the execution was quite good (while the story was a surprise ending it was hardly unique as I've read books in the past with similar theme/idea/catch line).

Still I think the game was under-rated not overrated and if the dlc is done well will go for it else I will skip.

8/10 is hardly an underrated score:

I didn't say underscore I said under-rated. It sold badly.

I'm up for it. I've always quite liked moonbase settings, for some reason.

I agree that the game was under-rated / under-publicized. In my view it's a very good game, one of the best in the past couple of years. I was not looking forward to it much and purchased it on sale only after reading good comments, and wow did it exceed my expectations.

I don't know whether or not I am looking forward to DLC, though. I'm not a fan of DLC after a game, because a big part of enjoyment of most any game for me is to learn and immerse myself within the world of the game, and DLC tends to be very short and/or somewhat of a repetition of the original game giving me a feeling of been-there-done-that.

I'll wait for reviews, and probably wait for a sale after that.

The phrase "moombase settings" made me instantly think of the movie "Outland," an underrated sci fi flick that really is like a Western…in a good way:

Yep, it's High Noon in Space. Great old film. I love that hard sci-fi, sleazy corporate future setting. That was set on a moon of Jupiter, if I recall.
