Some of my artwork

Hmmm, after seeing "Summer Love" I'd expected a whole other scene on the picture "Size doesn't matter" :D

"Guard Duty, close up" is very nice, those eyes are enchanting. Great work.

Awww, now you must make pics of us others, too! Poor Sorcha ;)

I'm still wondering how she got a pic of me! (Hiro)

Besides the snazzy new wallpapers, thanks for the daz info and link Sorcha, you have inspired me to get into this and see what I can do. I'm taking web design and actually taking a keyboarding class too (i type very fast, just very unorganized) this semester, but Im definitely going graphics-oriented classes next couple semesters. Just like typing, I know enough to at least produce passable results, but I'd like to get formal training and be able to crank out some real quality results.

That's some really nice work. The Arabian nights one is my favourite.

I enjoyed your work very much and saw this post! since i was going to try that program i wanted to ask what did u mean by this:
If people are intrested, I can post some links to sites with free stuff. :)
(mind that most freebies are free to use in Poser and Daz, but that that does not mean you have the right to port the meshes or textures for use in other programs or to use them for mods for games like the Sims and Oblivion ;) )

nice.

I havent done anything worth posting. Pretty much just been figuring out the program, reading up on it, scanning the forums, and doing some pretty creepy things with the Victoria model.

Was amazed at all the free stuff there is for download. In the end, I dont think that I'll be satisfied with this type of thing unless I can make my own textures and stuff. From a business perspective, there is some coin to be made there if youre good, which I'm not. Not at that anyway. I do plan to be good in the future tho ='.'=

Very nice, but you oughta tweak the shirt a bit. The front (model's left) side looks female while the back looks male. Not that I could even start such work, but you've set your bar pretty high.

AARGH! I used to go to a site with a huge list of sites with Freebies for Poser, but that site is gone... not only have I lost my source of freebies, but I can't copy and paste the links here either.... :(

Here are a few I've bookmarked over the year anyway:

For some of these sites you have to register, but usually that's well worth it :)

Samhain, nice to hear you are playing around with it ;) I haven't gotten into texturing for the stuff myself yet, my hubbie has though:

and so has my mother-in-law:

The only texturing I've ever done was for Morrowind:

I can't tweak the shirt at all unfortunately, it just came as is. I would have loved to open the shirt a bit to show some well-toned man-meat ;)

Don't feel daunted by my work, it is nothing compared to that of more experienced artists, even though I've come a long way from my first render :)

Don't you dare lessen the artistic talent you have. I wish I could do anything like that. ;)

Try to find the site in Google´s cache or archive.org. Maybe the links page has been mirrored.

No problem!! yes i was interested in a list of freebies. (u said u had links and stuff) then i didn't understant that thing with 'can't use anywhere' Thanks
Ah, sorry Gaboru, I never replied to you, did I?

Were you interested in a list of freebies, or in the 'can't use anywhere else' thing?

Anyway, inspired by NWN2, I made a new render.

No, it was a little private forum, hosted by a friend. I knew he had problems with the forum-provider, but now the forum has dissapeared completely.

I have no idea if he has a backup of the forum posts, and if and when he will put up a new forum, I haven't been able to reach him yet.

Okay, I see :) I've put up some links earlier on, have a look at those to start with ;)

As for not being allowed to use the meshes and textures in other places:

Basically, most artists put up freebies either to get you to buy their other work, or to create a port-folio in the hope to move on to a job in 3D art.

I used to mod for Morrowind, and it happened there that people started taking things from Daz artists and converting it into the Morrowind engine, things like hairstyles, but I've also seen whole buildings. They did this without asking permission from the original artist, sometimes even claiming this as their own work. Doing this with free stuff is immoral, doing it with the actual buyable items is illegal, and Daz will take action in that case.

I just put that up as a disclaimer so people know they can use this stuff freely in Daz Sudio or in poser (and you can do with your renders what you want, even sell them) but you are not allowed to redistribute the actual 3D content, as is or converted for a particular game engine.

Your family is very talented :). My mother-in-law did some silk painting stuff a few years ago, that's about it... all others are about as untalented as they come, with the exception of sonny.
The only skinning I've ever done was for the original Team Fortress back in '96 or '97... clan skins. The color palette was quite limited, and I wanted my trademark character class (= the Engineer) to have bright red hair, so I used the brightest reds available. Well, those happened to be the lava colors, so the engineer skin ended up with glow-in-the-dark hair.
Not really a problem then because my reflexes were still good...

Thanks, all :)

Did another one, probably not suitable for work ;)

NWN2 slight spoiler!!!!

I knew that Casavir was the only romanceable NPC, but that Bishop originally was ment to be romancable as well, some of his dialoge hints at that. Anyway, yesterday I read somewhere that there was supposed to have been a third.... Sand.
Trying to (unsuccesfully) image any romantic scenario involving Sand, the following was the best I could do:

What? You ment without my Staff of Magi?

I'd say you've captured his arrogance very well--not to mention that "electric" attraction.:)

'Nother NWN2 spoiler:

I don't know if I'd want Bishop to be romancable--the only thing I've heard from him was "If I wanted a wench I'd go to a brothel" or words to that effect. If I'd been playing a fighter, I would have had to force attack. ;)
