Nuclear Union

Noone reacted? Nice… Cmon guys, it says this:
"The protagonist of Nuclear Union is a Soviet officer pilot who participated in the nuclear bombing of the USA."

I wonder if Sarah Louise Heath Palin survived… Don't tell me you don't care! :)

The game site is up and contains a trailer:
http://www.nuclearunion.com/

The game should be released next year.

You mean it describes the events previous to Wastland 2 - I am interested to now!

Well, the main protagonist is a guy who personally carried out a nuclear Holocaust against hundreds of millions of innocent civilians, which would make him very unlikable to most people. Even if the game is very good on every other front, it would be hard to get passed this....

Get real, it will have it's audience.

Want an example? Iron Sky movie got praised outside of USA, but within USA it's, let's say, ignored. Okay, not ignored, it's hated. And based on that same movie there will be a game: Iron Sky Invasion.

A game about Nazis in space will be published by Topware Interactive which by your logic about Nuclear Union shouldn't be possible - as that's german publisher! :D
The bad news is that it seems it's not RPG full of politically incorrect humor like in the movie but a space fight simulator. :(

I loved watching Iron Sky and I live in the US. Reminded me of all the Sci-Fi b movies I watched in the 80's and 90's.

I never said that it wouldn't have an audience, but that the protagonist would not appeal to most people. The whole argument about Iron Sky does not really make any sense, because it isn't glorifying evil people, or their actions.

Not a big news, but 1c added a few screenshots of the department store.
http://www.1cpublishing.eu/game/nuclear-union/gallery

The story is this:
A group of garrison Komsomol members (young communists) made a secret fortified HQ in the debris of a former department store. The fortifications are highly important for the lads since they have to constantly repel the attacks of the local bandits who are considered to be the controlling party of the area.
Huge impassible fields with various anomalies have cut off the town of Elchansk and its surroundings from the Big Land, hence the locals have not seen any authorities here for quite a while. And only this bunch of Komsomol kids managed to organize some kind of resistance to the bandits.

Since the title on the store lacks of few letters, can't say what exactly was written there, but those that are still on the building say "…UN…VER…AT…". The full phrase and it's possible connection to things that happen we'll probably discover within the game.

Someone mentioned already that this game's story doesn't sound as something ppl would massively buy… I'm now also unsure if it'll sell in USA since only USA has an alergia when communism is mentioned for whatever reason. And here some commies are fighting against bandits. And then if you can't join bandits in the game… ;)
Me? I'll definetly try to solve those anomalies in impassable fields.
