$5/mo on demand games. Surprisingly, it looks like some of them are pretty good ones. Metro Exodus looks to be there, for instance. We'll likely be hearing more Real Soon Now.

IMO the socalled game pass is supposed to scam mmo-ers and cowclickers audience, not actual gamers who are minority for whatever reason.

So paying just $5/mo to play games like Tyranny, Valkyria Chronicles 2, Shenmue 1 and 2, Vampyr, West of Loathing, Surviving Mars, Wasteland 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Mutant Year 0 is milking us??
Poking around more, that price is currently $1/mo for the first three months. Once beta testing ends, the price should go up to $10/month.
A few games (none of the ones I listed) charge just like Steam would. The vast majority right now are free, though.

Same idea, yeah, though I think Microsoft has better games. There's definitely some good ones on Origin, too, though.

This kind of thing is why I've never bought a game from their windows store. It's the same way. At least it was when they started it, I assume it still is.
Call me a cynic but I still don't think Microsoft is interested in PC gaming their interested in turning our PC's in to high priced Xbox's.

I'm a bit leery of the whole attempt of bridging systems like that, attempting to bring Xbox titles to the computer via that fashion. I much prefer how great old games and steam do it, simply get a computer translation of the game, and then put it up for sale. That works well for me, and I've no issue paying for the effort involved.
