Tactical Adventures have pushed another udpate on the beta branch of Solasta.

[Public Beta] Version 1.2.14

This version is a Public Beta

As a reminder, we use Public Beta so that people who are blocked by specific bugs may try to get their run back on track as soon as possible, However, as it takes time to properly QA new versions, we can't guarantee they are 100% stable.

Therefore, if you do not have any of the issue listed below, you should just wait for the next patch instead.

Note: This Public Beta does not have a Mac version (not to worry, Mac will get the patch at the same time)

How to switch to Public Beta branch?

Simply go to your steam library, right click on Solasta and select properties. Then, go to the BETAS tab and select publicbeta from the drop down menu, and then restart Steam.

They fixed unarmored defense stacking with Mage Armor. Noooooo, made for a great tanky barbarian. They need to fix the Spirit Guardian spell slowing the game to a crawl when that spell is cast. Especially when there is another AoE spell up.

Huh? I don't get why those things shouldn't stack. Mage Armor is a spell, so…

It's explained by a sage advice: https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/rules-answers-january-2016

Does Unarmored Defense work with a spell like mage armor?
Unarmored Defense doesn’t work with mage armor. You might be asking yourself, “Why don’t they work together? Mage armor specifies that it works on a creature who isn’t wearing armor.” It’s true that the target of mage armor must be unarmored, but mage armor gives you a new way to calculate your AC (13 + your Dexterity modifier) and is therefore incompatible with Unarmored Defense or any other feature that provides an AC calculation.

In short, the two formulas are not compatible to work together, there is nothing to allow for any stacking.
