So you dont like this, and you dont like that, and this bothers you, and this is tedious, and that bores you, and so on and so forth. Get. A. New. Hobby. Jeff Some people grow out of games. Know when to say when, lest you find yourself writing columns like this.

You may not have read anything from Jeff before but he has mastered the art of (humorous) sarcastic writing. Whenever you find yourself reading something from Jeff Vogal, you need to picture the following scene in your head as you read:

Two boys, about 13 or 14 years old. One boy punches the other boy in the shoulder. The boy that is punched giggles a little and punches the first boy back in his shoulder. He giggles, but less, and gets a slight frown and punches the other boy... who giggles and sorta frowns but giggles and returns the punch. Finally, one of them gets pissed off. But in the end, they give each other a hi-fi and laugh about it all.

The above description is the 'essence' of Jeff's writing. Sarcastic, with a good helping of painful truth, but in the end, it's all for a good laugh.

If you've never read Jeff's "Story About Baby" it's a really funny (and sad) read... and if you're a parent, you won't stop laughing. You can read it here http://www.ironycentral.com/babymain.html

Serious or ironic, it has made 1Up as a bit of news:

Title - Indie RPG Hit-Makers Hate Making Hit RPGs
Subtitle - Spiderweb president doesn't even like playing them.

Quote from the commentary: "but it's disheartening to hear the creative force behind such highly praised RPGs say that he doesn't even enjoy playing them, and, even worse, innovation is impossible. Let's hope this RPG ennui isn't contagious. "
