Dying Light 2 Stay Human - Official Gameplay Trailer
Solasta: Crown of the Magister - 1.0.18 Hotfix LiveThis episode covers Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession, an intriguing early 3D CRPG featuring the Ravenloft setting and AD&D rules. It's not perfect by any means, but still quite fun and a treat for anyone into vampires and classic horror.
StarCrawlers Chimera - Update & $10,272Known Issues (that we're working on)
- Do not equip the Orc Javelin, Orc Shortbow or Ogre Javelin - saving while having one of these item equipped will corrupt the save, preventing you from loading it later. These corrupted saves will be fixed in a future patch.
- Beards are not always properly affixed to the characters' face
- If you're playing from an Early Access save, Bring the Sword back to Merton has a bugged cutscene that prevents you from completing it
- Some people have a black screen / weird clouds when starting a new campaign. Workaround here
- The Landing Plaza in Caer Cyflen has some new decoration that it shouldn't have
Mechajammer Kickstarter Update #31 -Spring Status ReportWe're over 66% funded and on our way towards the goal!
For this update, we're going to go into more detail about some of the features you'll encounter as you descend into the Chimera complex. One important lesson learned from StarCrawlers was that players really enjoyed our hand-crafted content paired with procedural elements. To avoid procedural fatigue though, we're focusing on making sure each floor of the game highlights new content : new enemies, traps, events, and gear are obvious choices, but we also want these things to introduce new gameplay mechanics. Each floor will feature a mix of both the familiar and new to keep things fresh.
25 Best RPGs Ever Made - DOGThere's fun news about the game coming this month along with release dates, and we'll be expanding testing for feedback to all of you. A huge thanks to all the alpha/beta backers for their input getting us this far, and shout out to Allen M for encouraging us down the warpath of the tick/tile way back when we were toying with the broader companion micromanagement. It has paid off splendidly. The feedback we've received from beta testers has been incredibly helpful as we've finalized the gameplay systems, and we've added an in-game bug reporting button recently as well.
There'll be a campaign update for alpha/beta backers this weekend that we hope you can take a punch at, so if you have some time to check it out that would be wonderful. The forum has build notes you can comment on as well as the in-game reporter. Once everyone has their mitts on it, all you backers have exclusive access to the forum and can share your thoughts and dreams you have in those build notes, and about the game.
It’s almost cruel to talk about the best RPGs ever made. Not only is it the kind of topic that inspires especially heated debates, but even a shortlist of the greatest RPGs ever may leave you desperately trying to find the time to somehow play them all.
Then again, the thing that separates the best RPGs from the rest is that they never really make you feel like you’re in a rush to “beat” them or move on to the next thing. They grab you by the hand and take you on a journey defined by character building, storytelling, world design, and, most importantly, the very convincing idea that you are no longer simply yourself but rather have the chance to truly become the kind of legendary figure you used to only be able to daydream about.
Whether they’re JRPGs, CRPGs, Tactical RPGs, or ARPGs, the best RPGs ever made are united by their ability to ease the escape from your burdens, your worries, and your world by taking you on an adventure the likes of which you simply won’t find in any other game.

GRAVEN - FEEDBACK AND UPDATESS.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is one of the most anticipated games. And, from the looks of it, its 2011 build has been leaked online. As such, players can use some patches in order to run this build and see for themselves this very early version of STALKER 2.
From what I can see, the materials, assets and scripts from STALKER 2 are what has been leaked (and not the UE4 executable file). In order to load those assets, users have used the X-Ray Editor.
Microsoft Now Has Full Control of The Outer Worlds - The GamerFirst of all, thank you to all of you who are currently playing GRAVEN.
Supporting us and believing in the game we're trying to make, truly means the world to us.
Over the past 20 hours, we've been looking at Live Streams, comments, discussion threads, and reviews, and done a deep-dive into how we can improve GRAVEN going forward.
Microsoft has full control over The Outer Worlds and will act as the official publisher of any "future iterations" according to a recent statement by Private Division.
The statement was released following some confusion regarding who owns the publishing rights for the game. Take-Two Interactive, who own Private Division, the publishers of the original release of the game before Obsidian was purchased by Microsoft, had an earnings call where they mentioned that The Outer Worlds had sold over 3 million units.

Roleplaying in Turns - Best Tactical RPGs 2021 - GamepressureWhere many Western RPGs of the era were built around binary choices, 2010’s Alpha Protocol asked you to become a chameleon. Playing as Michael Thorton, you’re a super spy who can flit between various archetypes - the three JBs: Jason Bourne, James Bond, and Jack Bauer. You’re a master manipulator who can be suave, unstable, professional, and anything in between. You wear multiple masks. It’s fitting because Alpha Protocol had many faces of its own throughout development.
As hack’n’slash constitutes one extremity of the RPG genre, its other side are the tactical RPGs, emphasizing complex, strategic battles played in turns. Here's a ranking of the best tactical RPGs, according to our staff.

10 years later & the Mass Effect 3 ending controversy - PCGamerWhile at times it can feel like Solasta: Crown of the Magister is trying to bite off more than it can chew, the overall experience remains enjoyable throughout this D&D-based title. The developers seem to understand what makes an RPG fun to play and they do their best to stay true to their creative vision. You add to that an opportunity to play a digital adaptation of the 5th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons, and you get a game no RPG enthusiast should overlook. This here is a new RPG from a passionate team with fresh ideas. Let's just hope that for their next project, Tactical Adventures manages to implement those ideas a bit better.
CD Projekt Red Has to Go All-In on The Witcher 4 - GameRantWe do not need to relitigate any of the Mass Effect 3 endings. In fact, I reckon that no story sequence has sparked more thinkpieces, chaffed podcast debates, and locked message board threads in recent videogame history. If you are entirely divorced from the discourse, it can be best summed up this way: Mass Effect 3 concluded in an overstuffed 15 minute climax that took some bold, perhaps reckless risks with its tone, cast, and story implications. Fans were apoplectic.
King's Bounty II Preview - EurogamerCD Projekt Red, the developer of The Witcher franchise, hasn't ruled out developing a new entry in the series. While the last game in the series seemed to wrap up the story of Geralt, there are several ways CD Projekt Red could go with a new Witcher game. One thing is for sure: if CD Projekt Red decides to go ahead and develop a new game, the team should put everything they have into it.
It's an impressive showing, a generational leap in what King's Bounty is capable of. Potentially, it's the start of a whole new era of King's Bounty 2 to come. "Spot on," Baryshnikov says. "That's my big dream." Whether it will all come together, we'll have to wait until 24th August to find out.

Obsidian's Avowed May Be Further Along Than You Think - GameRantHi everyone! Apologies for the lack of recent updates. We've been working hard to add some new asked-for features and behind-the-scenes bug fixes, as well as planning out updates you'll be seeing over the course of the Summer.
Avowed May Be More 'Morrowind' Than The Elder Scrolls 6 - GameRantAn eagle-eyed Reddit fan recently spotted some interesting information about Avowed on Senior Area Designer Constant Gaw's LinkedIn. According to the LinkedIn page, Avowed may be further along than Xbox fans think and they may be getting more information about the upcoming Obsidian RPG this Summer.
Avowed is probably going to be quite different from Skyrim, and the game it seems more similar to is Morrowind. Avowed is based on the Pillars of Eternity games and will likely include plenty of callbacks to those, but its rumored setting is going to be something else entirely, probably based on the Living Lands of Eora - much like Morrowind was very different from the rest of Tamriel. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and while many of these similarities may be based on speculation and rumors, it is plausible that Avowed and Morrowind will be compared a lot in the future.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Update - Grand Beta SurveyEmpires and Tribes is a unique hybrid of a medieval city builder and a role-playing game. You will undertake the duties of a mayor in the 13th century and manage the expansion of your city, ensure the production of resources and raise a powerful army to protect yourself from rival principalities.
King's Bounty II Small Preview RoundupA month has passed since we launched Beta Stage 2. As you well know, Beta is here for testing the future game, finding bugs, and of course — gathering your feedback! Just as during the earlier stages — Alpha and Beta 1 — we’ve launched a grand beta survey. You can find a link in the Main Menu of the game if you have the Beta Early Access. Please follow the link and take some time to complete the survey — it will last till the 13th of June. A small warning: as we need to gather information on nearly all the aspects of the game, the survey turned out to be a long one. May this not stop you! This might be a challenge, but it is a very important part of the development. We’ve always been very attentive to the voice of the community, as we feel the community to be the co-creator of our games. It was you who helped us to change and upgrade Pathfinder: Kingmaker a great deal. And this time again, we need your opinion to make the new game better, so we all will get the best game ever upon the release on the 2nd of September.
Yesterday, Bioware released a new patch for Mass Effect Legendary Edition that was aiming to improve overall PC performance. And, from the looks of it, this patch also removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
Urban Strife - Blind ShootingSheriff Extraordinaire Billy Bo knows he should hide well when shooting starts. And he feels pretty good about a metal barrel as a cover cause all back in the Hicks farm, that kept you pretty safe from a load of buckshot. What happens though when we use a slug?
Urban Strife - Night is ComingSometimes you just know the enemy is out there, even if you don't see them. So forcing a shot in blind, in their general direction, could work. If you have ammo to spare.
Nights on the road, exploring Urban. An experience you'll never forget, said all those who survived until next morning
Diablo 4 - Hype Alone Won't Work this TimeI love to go into design deep dives of indie games. Not enough game criticism delves into the delicate workings of games. It's important to ask the questions: What in this game works? What doesn't? What good things about this game can other developers use to improve their work? What pitfalls should be avoided?
So I'm going to talk about my recent addiction, Valheim. It is a phenomenally successful indie title. It is in Steam Early Access and seems to be about half done.
It sold over 7 million copies by this writing, which puts most AAA titles to shame. I've finished all the available content. More is on the way. Let's talk about it!
Corven: Path of Redemption - May 2021 UpdateThe Diablo franchise has been through the wringer in recent years. The much-hyped third entry was perfectly okay, early server issues aside, but the stalled mobile game and that now-infamous quote from Wyatt Cheng (“do you guys not have phones?) revealed a gulf between Blizzard’s plans for Diablo and what fans actually wanted for the storied ARPG. Diablo 4, then, could serve as the dungeon crawler’s redemption arc. However, despite getting its first trailer back in November 2019, it remains in early development.
The one bit of concrete information fans do have regarding the Diablo 4 release date is that it won't be coming out in 2021 or, indeed, any time soon. This franchise once went 12 years without a game, after all.
You know how it is when you got 100% motivation for something, then you do it and it actually works out and you are "in the zone"? It's a great feeling right? Well, I was "in the zone" with writing the last few weeks and I could not be happier about it.
Don't get me wrong I had written a draft of the full story arc a long time ago and worked on parts of it in detail as well, but really fleshing out the story is something I had put off for a while because I was not inspired to do it for a while. Well I am happy to report the inspiration came back and I made gigantic steps forward with the story, quests and dialogues.
My respect for authors who write compelling books grew immensely ever since I started work on the Corven storyline. But then again, writing for a game has an additional factor: "Can this technically be done? Does it make sense within the confines of the gameplay mechanics?" There are restrictions which have to be considered.
Another interesting one from Eastern Europe. This Fall will be as interesting as SpringUrban Strife - Shotgun vs Barrel vs Billy Bo
